Yeah, I think this fight is a scripted loss... I tried like a million different variations of people. I even brought a LVL. 80 Eiko with Flames of Rebirth... LVL. 1 HP move goes off... Then... immediately after she uses another aoe move kills everyone... everyone reraises.... than immediately after she uses ANOTHER AoE move and kills everyone back off.... Even with Leon and my black mage capping their dark damage with just Shout on RW i can't get her any lower than 40% after Steiner dies...

If anyone knows what I'm missing, let me know because I'm out of ideas.... Beatrix keeps pulling the same shit...

Bringing memento of prayer or kirin (AoE regen) helps to clear sap from either of their stock break attacks.

Beatrix's pattern is climhazzard (HP 1) at 80%, then stock break (AoE DMG + sap) at 60%, then climhazzard followed by stock break at 40%

-Use AoE regen to clear any sap from Steiner's stock break if he had a chance to use it
-Counter the first climhazzard at 80% with medica
-Clear sap from the 60% stock break with AoE regen skill
-Be ready with another medica for the 40% climhazzard
-Finish the fight asap

It mainly comes down to timing the medica cast and making sure nobody is sapped when climhazzard goes off, you'll need to start it shortly after she drops below 80 and 40 so that it hits before she gets another turn to wipe you with stock break. It is possible to skip the 60% stock break if you get her down below 40% before the first climhazzard is cast, which would result in 2 back to back climhazzards instead followed by stock break.

Since you're not attempting the CM, I would suggest bringing someone with a curaga medica (assuming you have one) instead of Eiko's reraise since the entry heal on that one isn't so good. The reraise shouldn't be necessary as long as you time the medica correctly.

yeah, U+ took me a few tries just because timing the medica after the first climhazzard is a massive pain. once i made it past there it wasn't too bad though, with eiko's burst mode up it was a lot easier to time command 2 to go off after the next one. if you don't have a command medica, burning steiner down first before you touch beatrix should make the fight a lot more manageable.

This CM is a scripted loss. Did not touch Beatrix outside of a Full Break to try and mitigate some of her damage and she completely annihilated my entire team right after Climhazzard. This isn't worth the headache of having to time something this perfect. I'll skip the damn orbs.

I think it's just bad luck. I had one fight where she basically did nothing and didn't use moves until the last 50%.

My CM win was with no medicas but double heals (And I was an idiot for now bringing Curada) and I bursted her down from 1st Climhazzard to dead with Kuja (with Raines BSB) dealing the killing blow as the sole survivor after Stock Break. Praise RNGesus that he dodged it. Would have been faster if I had Vivi also doing Raines Command 1 but I finished it off with only 1 use of RW.

Yeah, I did 2 cures, too. Kuja and VW used Cid's RW then his first command until Steiner was maybe 1/4, then I used his 2nd to start damaging Beatrix, too. Done right, she'd be just about at her scripted attack, but then I'd switch back to the first RW attack to ideally burst her down into the back-to-back triggers. Just in case I didn't, the healers prioritized healing the nukers so they could eat a hit. Since the fight ends so fast, you really shouldn't have to worry about turn or damage medals, so 3 people possibly dying is okay.

My CM win was with that instant AOE heal that gives physical blink, I didn't master it though because I had like 4 deaths lol. I love Beatrix, my favorite FF character, but shes pissing me off! Now I'm trying to master it and I don't see how without that instant AOE heal, just need to find a aoe haste SB so that I can keep up the dmg, they attack fast.

I too did the Raines RW for the CM.

After learning not to touch Beatrix outside of Power Breakdown and Dispel/Banishing Strike, Steiner was dead within 3 rounds. If you allow the last round used on Steiner to be the AoE burst, that should trigger Beatrix's 80% move. At that point she should get only 1, maybe 2 more actions due to her ATM resetting between phases. Just keep the burster alive.

If you do it fast enough, you can end up with only the burster alive with 2 medals for damage and 1 for KO's lost and be perfectly fine for mastery.

Thanks, went 1/1 on it doing that strat, though still fucking annoying sub 30% was nothing but Shift Break/Stellar Circle 5 wash rinse repeat and no rumble rush/scoop arts
