If you look at the skip travel map, at the top theres some things that are included and some things that are checked off. Collection point is checked off by default because theres so many of them.

As much as I'm enjoying this game so far, I can't help but see how much it feels utterly rushed, and all the little things are starting to really annoy me. Spoilered for bitching...

• Selected sort order in menus (item list, accessory equip, etc) isn't retained after leaving the menu.
• The way the camera clips behind objects is terrible, especially those above/behind you. Not really too much of a problem when outdoors, but indoor areas.......it's like it's having a seizure every few seconds.
• No easy way to completely de-target mobs. Why can't I just hit B to to go out of targeting mode if I'm not currently engaged? I have to either engage and then dis-engage, or pull some weirdness with the camera by adjusting it so the mob's not currently in my field of view, and then hit R. First XC1 got this right. wtf
• How the fuck can you tell if a mob is aggressive or not? Every name plate looks the exact same to me, with the only distinction being their weakness. Again, XC1 hit this right on the head.
• Treasure chests.......oh god, why are these so horrible??? Forget the fact that I have no way of keeping track of their location and required field abilities, but why aren't they clippable or simply disappear altogether after being opened? Just had a chest where a 3-star accessory popped right underneath the chest, and no matter how hard I tried, I could not collect it. After a minute or so, it simply despawned.
• Map overlay - Why are you so useless? Why are you zoomed in so much?!!?!? WHY?!!?!? WHHHHHYYYYYYYYY!?!?!?!

All these small, but ultimately annoying things (and that's just the crap that I've encountered shortly after finishing chapter 1), just show that the game really needed another month or two in the cooker instead of being rushed out the door for the holiday season. I mean, a 7 year-old game on hardware from like 15 years ago managed to get a lot of this stuff right. Wth Monolith Soft/Nintendo?

Piggy backing off of this 2 complaints I have are:

-Collection points not giving any details on what can be obtained. Made finding rocks for a quest harder than it should have been since I was getting flora most of the time. Even then I had some points which made no sense on what I got back.

-Birds.

I really enjoy the game's battle/world/salvaging, but everything else feels like a rushed mess sometimes.

I was wrong earlier, the 4th bonus for Tiger Tiger! is simply getting the first 3, so kill freely while getting all the ether crystals/treasure and have full health by the end. There is a secret in the 2nd stage that sometimes appears, to the right of the stage where you first see the red spider that drops down, if you see 2 crystals, kill the red spider and go to those 2 crystals. You'll be transported to a minigame where you collect ether crystals worth 10 each while dodging urchins. With this and full bonus, you can get ~2500 ether crystals a run.

So, I ate about 30ish common cores, and a couple rare cores, but I managed to get Kora, on Nia, and Godfrey, on Rex. No idea what Godfrey's field skills are though, but Nia seems a perfect fit for Kora and I needed lockpicking.

I like Rex with knuckles, Feral Uppercut is neato and having aggro reduction is nice for him I guess. Was using a generic for that for a while but pulled Kora as if exactly what I needed.

I'm just the oposite; I don't like using knuckles as there's something about the timing of art canceling I haven't gotten the hang of.

Just started chapter 3, and enemies are four levels higher then me, so I guess I'll hotfoot it to an inn and use my bonus exp from all the quests in Chapter 2.

I'm only good with the timing on the sword sadly. I tried balls, knuckles, and spears and my timing is off.

Axe is very very easy to time, which is good cause Agate (rare ATK blade) is a beast.

Early chapter 3, should I use eye patch over champion belt? I'm only level 20. Champion belt would put me at 157Str, 124 without (Not sure where the extra 6 comes from). Eye patch Adds 22% to damage ratio after canceling an auto-attack. Does that mean the art I use when attack cancelling gets 22% damage boost? The wording confuses me.

I'm a bit curious about this too. Does moving count as canceling AA? Since right now my strategy with Rex is to stop after his 2nd hit by either moving and resetting the 1-2-3 AA combo to gain arts faster or use an art right away.

Was under the impression you gained the most 'arts special' gauge by waiting until the third attack; you can charge your individual arts faster, but lose out on the potential damage from higher art chains.
