I'm sad after 220 hrs into the game I don't have anything left I want to do. I didn't do superbosses but the idea of full bursting everything dead doesn't appeal to me much.
Btw is there a good list of NM locations for Zenobia's board?
I loved the game, but i still loved the XCX music more for some reason.
These still imo stays the best of Xenoblade Series
I dunno why but I always remember this when I think of XCX, and for that it's probably my favorite. Probably the repetition of the song and how long I was in that damn area is why. I probably hated it at the time but I think back on it fondly.
Second being
Damn, Sylvalum is more amazing than I remember. Time to replay this soon.
Incoming! has fairly replaced Mechanical Rhythm for preferred battle music.
Meh, maybe it works they way he hypothesizes, and maybe it doesn't, but if it is showing the last "three spaces" the roulette lands on, it shouldn't show the same rare blade shadows so often and not land on them more often. I'd be willing to say that random junk is eliminated, depending on Boosters/Luck, but it's not pointedly significant given just how many common blade combinations you can roll vs rare blades. Regarding what it does show you, I think it's just hinting at what's left in the pool, weighted to show you a rare blade that's available in the pool, but nothing more.
On a related note, I picked up KOS-MOS today, so, fuck ya! Didn't see much of a shadow, except for a bright blue floating orb, and though it must be her, and sure enough, it was. Bout half way through the rare blades so far, and am on chapter 8 @ 165 hours in, mostly due to running merc missions and Usrala stuff while doing other stuff.
Anybody know where Agates heart-to-heart impassioned thoughts is? In chapter 10 and passed the world tree and can’t find it. All it says is in higher terrain of the world tree.
I'm on chapter 4 I think and I think I hate the battle system. It feels like trash takes forever to kill or maybe I don't have the right blades. It feels like level doesn't really matter and the skill points for affinity shit and weapons take forever to get. I'm doing breaks > topples, the ability chain thing and it doesn't really feel like it speeds anything up. The voice acting is really bad and I want to switch over to the Japanese dub but EN Pyra/Mythra is actually not bad and that's like the one thing keeping me from doing it. I want to like this game since it's one of the few AAA JRPGs that have come out recently but jesus fuck I cannot stand the battle system.
Normal mob fights get a lot faster when you get a certain blade. Can't remember if you have it by ch 4 or not. Fight system isn't too inspiring, but I loved the world and exploring it.
Keeping up to date Chips, on your blades, helps the most with your damage, as do your levels, but once you get to chapter 5, a story character makes things go much faster do to crits recharging arts. It doesn't really get fast until you learn to stack orbs and burst them during chain attacks, which lets you take down big monsters fast by skipping the phases where monsters usually buff themselves up to make themselves harder to kill. If you want more rare blades, just use the crystals as you get them and you'll eventually get more options, but none of them break the game until much later, when you have access to the better chips and accessories.
Pouch items that recharge Arts/Specials, Critical up aux cores, and the accessories that make you auto attack 2 times at 30-50% speed up normal combat fairly well midgame. I felt the same way and it does feel like so many of the accessories and aux cores do basically nothing, but a few of them do more than they should. Once you have access to critical up and the accessories that absorb HP on crit, you can drop healing entirely and speed up a bit more.
I didn't have a full grasp on the depth of the system until I was pretty much at the end of the game. But as it turned out 90% of what you find is useless.
Damnit Monolithsoft... I'm emotionally unstable right now as a result of the ending
