As someone who hasn't played Xeno-anything other than this I'll need some context I guess. The name sounds familiar but that's it.

I mean shes one of the leads of the Xenosaga series. And we love her. The only way you'd really have the context is if you played the series.

I don't think shes actually any rarer. It's just that she's the only familiar face in the long list of Blades so everyone goes in wanting her already.

Haha. I watch a lot of anime and the "friendship power" stuff never really bugged me all that much.
I do feel that at times the camera is doing everything it can to zoom in on boobs and thighs and ass shots. XD *claps her hands* Not that I'm COMPLAINING but at times I kind of laugh because its supposed to be a more serious scene and I'm taken out of the moment due to BOOBS. The problem lies in the character design. I could point out several times already and I don't think I'm far into the game (I only have 3 party members).

Yeah you aren't even near the meat of the story. The anime-ness (at least anime style humor) of the game seems to drop away after Chapter 5 and get more series.

Maybe it's because I went in with low expectations but the story isn't bad. It's not the best either and I see plot lines way before they even develop. Plenty of characters say exactly what I expect them to but nothing is unenjoyable. Every time I pick up a common/rare crystal I immediately have Nia open it with tons of excitement. Not even disappointed when it's a garbo blade. I'm just having fun. XD

Just prepare yourself, the entire story is a little trope-y. Good, but trope-y. Characters who you expect to do thing do things, but well.

The anime-ness cliches do taper off around Ch5 though...
