They ruined starfish mainstage by putting an elevated platform next to your spawn, making it prime for getting locked out and sniped to death before you can move.

Changes to SR are nice, 5 eggs on a griller kill instead of 3. Those failed probably 80% of the time at high difficulty. You can also reset your rank in SR to profreshional 40 now once you reach 100+.

Splatfest is about the same, they added a baby mode, and pro mode is now essentially what splatfest used to be. 10x and 100x point battles may make splatfests a bit more swingy now instead of Pearl winning every time.

For weapons, Enperries took a hit finally but it didn't shift the meta at all. Buckets got nerfed which I don't think makes terribly much sense. The Kensa dualies are a middle finger to bucket users too since they have the same kit as one of the better buckets lol. The roller has the highest potential for high level play due to it's kit bringing the first front line bubble blower with one of the most useful bomb types, splat bombs. .52 and .96 Gal might actually be able to paint the map now. Inkjet took a half a second duration hit. Bloblobber can't spam quite as well anymore and is much weaker in rainmaker.

It feels like they went after Enperries. Between the half second Inkjet nerf and the 3% ink tank increase on dodge rolls you now need a bit too many abilities on gear to make up for it, so your choice is quick respawn or compensate.

Mine play is finally a bit more viable since you can remote detonate your second bomb for every third you place. Helped e-liter a bit but it's still too weak to bring it back. All in all nothing changed too much in the meta yet, but Enperries aren't nearly as strong and may have contenders for it's spot in the meta. Looking at you, Glooga decos.
