The music in chapter 4 is really something.
The music in chapter 4 is really something.
Finished Olberic's story last night and a lot better than what I was expecting. 4 to go.
My only real issue with donate BP is that it's negated by the like 60+ small, medium, and large BP restore items I have from stealing from like everyone in the game. It's completely unnecessary. Rest is also unnecessary with thief as the sp/hp leach moves are basically a full heal of each stat and if needed I have stolen tons of hp/sp restore items. Essentially, the ability to steal/purchase from NPCs makes this game much easier than probably intended. If I am unable to steal the item I want in one a few tries now I just swap to merchant and buy it. Doing this all of the main weapons for my team have 280-300 atk/ele power and I also have a few crazy armor sets like this as well all while level 30. This is one of the few rpgs I can think of where I gleefully use the 'mp' restoring items as I usually horde them 'just in case.' I also figure if I eventually run out of my items I will probably have so much money left over that I can just buy them from shops.Originally Posted by Seravi Edalborez
Tressa's merchant job becomes broken in the late game combined with one of the hidden jobs. Can make Sidestep and Rest affect the entire party, completely negating physical attacks and making SP restorative passives unnecessary.
So exemple i use the Beluinguing w/e dance
And i get EXP X2 then EXP x5
Does it give me EXP x10 or just X5?
It only picks the highest, so x5.
On a site note, saving grace support skill is so cheesy, that passive alone removes a lot of difficulty with later stuff.
So I just finished 1 story (Tressa my main) and I just got something awesome that I wouldn't guessed Spoiler just by precaution
Spoiler: show
Can't wait to see what will happen for the others
Does H'aanit's level or a particular stat affect the success rate of capturing enemies? I blew through her story tonight (Since everyone else was in the 60s it wasn't too bad) and noticed my catch rate even at low health was pretty horrible.
Her level, and how many weaknesses of the mob that are exposed, along with low health all affect her capture rate, and boosting, of course.
Edit: Also Breaking affects it too. I don't know how I forgot that as well.
Is there a recommended order on which of the four secret jobs to go? I finished two stories and tried Starseeker(?) around lv 45 and got wrecked.
So Alfyn's Chapter 3 boss almost took me down. Was not expecting that.
Out of party members don't get any sort of passive exp right? Is there a strat for leveling them?
You can generally carry a leveling party with a Scholar + Healer and then whatever else. Find an area where you can hit a majority of the weaknesses and kill stuff.
Or you can exploit Bewildering Grace on a dancer and hope for Exp multipliers.
I see people seem to recommend sorcerer a lot as first one to do. That's what I did, but I didn't look up any strategies and went into them all blind, also avoided using Saving Grace as that makes all of them much easier. Sorcerer can make the other shrines much easier since you get extra break potential along with extra damage. Runelord I hear makes getting Warmaster an absolute joke. Not sure about the other 2 but there seems to be cheese strats for all of them.
Going in blind I went Sorcerer > Warmaster > Runelord > Starseer as this was the order I found them in so I did it based off that. Since I didn't look up any strats for them, the difficulty from hardest to easiest for me was Sorcerer > Starseer > Warmaster > Runelord. Since Sorcerer was my first one and I had to come up with a complete different strategy for these, this one proved the hardest for me. If you look up strats, you'll see Sorcerer is probably the easiest one and the most recommended one to get first as you can make it a joke.
My main reason for sorcerer first is the extra damage and break potential for the other shrines, it really helps a lot, especially with cleric divine skill letting you attack twice in one turn, knocking off 6 shields in one go. Reason why I say saving grace makes these all much easier is due to the extra hp you gain, as it'll allow you to survive pretty much everything with ease since you can just get full hp > use heal more and go way above your current hp. I tried Sorcerer twice, with and without these, and saving grace made it so much easier that I didn't even have to really think about anything due to everyone having around 7k hp, if I used elem def buff I think it was around 9k hp, which allows you to just facetank all dmg easily
Through chapter 1s for everyone. I assume I'm going to have to use everyone eventually?
Not sure who to put in as I started with prim but I want to have therion/hannit/alfys/tressa...hannit is probably the first blue mage I've been enjoying.
The character you started the game with is locked in until you finish their Ch4, and everyone else is locked in when you're doing their story sections. Otherwise there's no real limits so you could build a core trio and have a rotating 4th until you get through everyone.
H'aanit can put out some pretty crazy numbers if you capture the right stuff, or just stuff way above your level. Tressa/Scholar, H'aanit/Warrior, and Primrose/Cleric is kind of my go-to at the moment. Alfyn/Thief if I have the choice of 4th. Not really sure how to best make use of him yet tbh but I like Concoct.
Fuck no idea how to do Alfyn chapter 4 boss, i survived like 20min then he just rketed me
So I decided on Olberic to try out /THF and now I don't think I can go away from it just for the -DEF/-ATK debuffs <,<;
