I nearly wiped to Tressa's Ch. 3 boss. Thank goodness Olberic (my starting character) is Lv. 51 and also thank goodness I have a bad habit of over-leveling. I will admit, though, Ophilia was underleveled and she got wrecked.

Finally got Alfric chapter 4 boss down
Finished his just now too. Yeah that boss felt pretty cheap. Surprisingly his story was pretty good.
How many of these random caves should I be exploring? I got subjobs and want to play around but there seem to be an awful lot of them lying around...
Some will be for quests and others can yield loot. All I really know about them sadly
Gonna try to get back into this game this weekend. Completing everyone’s chapter one was such a painful grind. Sounds like it gets better going forward hopefully.
I just have Cyrus to finish as my last member
Then I think I’ll grind primerose therion haanit sndmophelia as team b
Would be cheap to keep 3strong and 1 weak
Those Dungeons/Caves can yield some pretty OP stuff if you loot them early, especially if you hit them all up. Some of them will literally last the whole game till you get the post chapter 4 completion weapons as majority of those are all better than stuff you steal/find. Viper Dagger for example can be obtained before you even finish recruiting everyone in chapter 1, and that dagger has whopping 332 attack, which is 2nd best dagger in the game in terms of physical attack. Can also get 3rd best(2nd best imo, due to no accuracy loss), axe in a dungeon/cave too. Can also get 3rd best staff in the same dungeon that yields 3rd/2nd best axe as well. That staff is also king of all staves in terms of grinding exp/jp due to huge speed bonus it yields. 2nd best spear is also in a dungeon.
I'm pretty sure you can get all of these by simply just slapping on evasive maneuvers and evil ward, and bringing therion with you for the stuff that's in purple chests. It's just way too easy to break this game are get OP gear way earlier than you should. The stuff I listed is main in terms of patk or eatk, didn't factor in stuff that's gated behind chapter 4 completion stuff/high level NPCs, as majority of that stuff is all pretty good and have unique bonuses like high atk while increasing the dmg you deal with elements.
Hmm, I'll go investigating around with the team then. Primrose is going to be ridiculously leveled compared to everyone else.
Finished all 8 characters but not seeing anything that points to where to go for endgame yet. Oh well guess it gives me time to get the hidden jobs/finish quests.
I kept Therion in my party at all times for purple chests. Other than that I tried to mix and match with everyone else to be sure I had all weapon/elemental weakness exploited
I got dancer's divine skill and they require 3 BP to use? I'm glad they're balanced like that but I guess I won't rush for the other divines...
In terms of offensive, only 4 of the classes have 4 divine skills that do damage (Not including the 4 additional jobs since I still have 3 to unlock)
Theif - AOE with speed being the damage modifier
Warrior - Single Target Physical
Hunter - AoE Physical
Merchant - Single Target non-elmental. Also 1:1 ratio on money earned from the damage.
Figured out how to unlock the final boss and holy shit that thing is insane. No story spoilers but from what I got for the fight:
Spoiler: show
Finishing up chapter 2's, and got curious about weapons and stats.
As an example with Therion/Dancer: I'll equip a physical oriented sword and an elemental oriented dagger. Using wildfire on a fire neutral target will yield the same damage regardless if dagger or sword was my selected weapon.
If the weapon you equip is irrelevant to your damage (and I get why that is), then why bother having stats display different pending what's highlighted on the equip screen? Am I missing something?
Highest weapon controls for magic nukes, but physical skills trigger off specific weapons.
Healing running off edef is still weirding me out but at least it encourages keeping healers tanky.
Also, the game tells you about this in the help submenu.
man so now my Team B is
Haanit, Therion, Ophelia, and Primerose, but didn't put SCH on anyone so my AOE sucks lol
