And I think he's very useful in battle for his speed. Give him Hunter as a seconday and you got armor corrosive/leghold trap on someone that can usually get the first move in per turn

actually leveling him right now to make his path action more effective so I might have to try that. leghold -> break -> all the turns are MINE

He can be pretty dangerous. Once you get the point you can recover all you SP and then some through Steal SP his default attack is useless unless you need to exploit a weakness

I'll have to take your word for it for now, because in the beginning he's a wet noodle can't even AoE break without a subjob. his path action is probably the best one though, if you level him up and/or save scum. although every time I buy expensive equipment I feel like maybe Therion could have stolen something better and I keep second-guessing myself haha

Yeah therion’s power lies in debuffs and SP manipulation- his damage is poor till aerber’s (and he gets outspeeded by prim FWIW). I imagine he makes a good dancer if you arent using a physical party and prim isn’t around.

Olberic makes surprisingly good use of thief sub for duelling until you hit endgame.

Don’t forget to use your nuts. They can juice your damage up a bit and the game is completeable even without them, so feel free to use them on whoever you like. I, uh, gave mine to prim...

I was playing around earlier and I was like, what if I have two thieves and two merchants and use Donate BP + boosted Share SP? and it does exactly what you think it does lol. I was half hoping they'd let you keep the bonus SP after battle, but that would break the game I suppose

as promised, Olberic chapter 3 was p good. Tressa is still best girl tho; I think I love her because her story doesn't try as hard as the others. I'm reading a lot of comments that pile on the hate because her story isn't fleshed out but I love it for that reason; it's more like an adventure than a real in-depth JRPG story, and she's the perfect sweet, innocent, carefree protagonist to lead a story like that. plus her chapter 3 is more about

than it is about her anyway, and you kinda just have to accept that rather than get all whiny about it

last comment: the chapter 3 boss difficulty spike is real af. Tressa's was doing an AoE attack that wiped out half my party's health every turn. nothing I can't handle, but it's good to see that we've moved beyond "feed Cyrus and destroy" battle tactics

Chapter 3 is usually a good spije in difficultly. Hope you went to the shrines to unlock subjobs

I tie tress and prim for best girl, with tress's story being a happy carefree lark and prim's going MAXIMUM GRIMDARK. I liked their banters too (esp THAT chapter 2 banter...)

Hahaha yeah Cord I got the sub jobs ASAP after I found the first one. I can't imagine life without them.

Haven't done Cyrus Ch3 yet so that will be interesting. He's my main actually.

Halfway done with Chapter 3's and I don't want this game to ever end. Tressa Chapter 3 was a hoot, and Therion finally gets a halfway decent plot twist (should have seen that coming, so obvious in retrospect)
