Nah I'm glad he's mostly out of that character now. It's a good mix.

I will never forgive Colbert for ending the Report to do just another late night talk show.
I think Colbert's character ended at a good time since he was mostly a personification of the 00's era fox news bullshit which is continuously eating shit now.
Its just a shame they couldn't stick with Larry Wilmore. His last week was pretty great especially since the team was in 'give no shits' mode and now they got an alumn from Trevor Noah's daily show that'll channel Colbert with the sort of Info Wars vibe of this era.
I did like Klepper's appearances so hopefully he finds his groove.
Wilmore's show was simply not funny though, and his panel discussions were mostly bad. There was little redeeming about it.
The panels were bad. Though after the Bill nye shit they did get better but they were never better than Wilmore's intro monologue.
Graham-Cassidy is trying to buy off Murkowski by basically allowing Alaska to keep Obamacare subsidies as is.

It's...kinda hilarious that they are attempting to buy off Senators in the repeal/replace bill by...not repealing and replacing it in their states.
Would the house pass this version of the bill?
"We're going to pass this even if it kills you."
Not sure if that will happen. Portman could be a potential thorn as his state loses money, opioid funding is still an issue that he pretends to care about, and Kasich has come out against it but I have to assume he's given the okay since this deal is literally to secure the 50th vote, a vote they haven't had in any of previous attempts.
few red states are losing funding and it is minuscule compared to California, New York, Maryland, and the pacific northwest.
Florida is actually losing money too, despite not expanding medicaid, because they somehow have the most ACA marketplace enrollees of any state due to aggressive signups and therefore FL residents receive a ton of ACA subsidies.
A number of Republican governors in states with vulnerable or wavering Republican senators are against this though - Nevada, Alaska, Ohio, etc.
The most absurd thing about this bill is how it sets up a cliff in 2026 that would fucking obliterate Medicaid funding for all states. It would be absolutely catastrophic for red states with rural populations that need that kind of money to subsidize their aging and sick demographics. How desperate are these morons for their Koch money that they're so eager to blow up the entire health care system in this country (far worse than the previous plan they voted on)?
I don't think there's a cliff they wouldn't throw themselves off if the rocks at the bottom spelled out Repeal Obamacare.
Yeah, he's not wavering. He's just clearly vulnerable next year.

McCain a NO, for now. http://thehill.com/policy/healthcare...amacare-repeal
So with their focus once again on the ACA, does this mean no time for Tax reform this year?
