Some hot takes today about how the Democrats should rejoice that the filibuster is dead, and kill it for legislation too.

The basic argument is that Dem social programs and progress are remarkably resilient once put into place because they are broadly popular (social security, medicare/medicaid, civil rights, etc) but the filibuster makes them hard to implement in the first place, while the biggest thing Republicans want to do - cut taxes - can be done with reconciliation anyway, so the filibuster doesn't hurt them nearly as much.
Consider some of the additional legislation that might have passed had the filibuster not been in place during President Barack Obama’s time in office. The list includes the DREAM Act, a cap-and-trade system to regulate carbon emissions, a gun-control compromise bill and a “public option” as part of Obamacare. Democrats would probably also have been able to pass an even more aggressive stimulus package if not for the de facto 60-vote requirement.
It's just judicial filibusters tho.
And the ACA repeal bill failed not because of democrat resiliency, but because it wasn't cruel enough for the freedom caucus, so I don't quite buy into the "social programs are broadly popular" argument. Republicans would most certainly take away these programs if they could.

TREY GOWDY DESTROYS RAPE VICTIM
Kansas special election called for Estes. Trump and Cruz campaigned for Estes and he barely won. His opponent, Thompson, received no support from the DNC or DCCC and still gave him a close race. Libs want to win so bad but the party continues to be lead by absolute morons
Not with the DNC response.
Yes it will be very exciting when Dems lose a ton of close races next year
