apparently terrible thunder storms in hotlanta today soooooo i doubt he even hits 40%. Lib voters are the fuckin worst and those southern olds will not be denied!
I remember when I was a kid living in Georgia, talking about politics.
Liberals are lazy as fuck at going to the polls and ain't shit changed in the last 20 years in GA.
Live analysis at NYT: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/...live.html?_r=0
Live results: http://www.nytimes.com/elections/res...ion-district-6
The early in-person vote in conservative Cobb county (the hardest of the 3 counties for Ossoff) has him at 57% - a very good number (of a very small percentage of the ballots).
A cool thing I started doing on Nov 8 2016 is putting faith in the early returns.
Just remember, if storms depress turnout on voting day, that's good for ol' Han Solo.
but he's behind his benchmarks to hit 50% in 4 of the 5 precincts fully reporting so far.

Ossoff at 56% with 20% of precincts (and the early vote) reporting.
Keeps ticking down, I doubt he'll win outright.
53% of the vote in, Ossoff at 50.4% of the vote. the 6th District encompasses 3 counties, the reddest (Trump +15) is at 96% reporting and Ossoff only got 41% of the vote, the bluest (Clinton +19) is at 100% reporting and Ossoff grabbed 58.6% of the vote. almost the entirety of the remaining vote is in the purplest county, which had to extend voting hours because of the turnout, and is presently breaking for Ossoff at 55.3%, but is one which Trump took by 2 points. if he can even break even with the remaining Fulton county vote he's in.
it's razor close, the NYT boys have him finishing between 48-49%, but he's within spitting distance of a potentially huge upset. despite the inclement weather turnout is huge and he's going to outperform his polling (and outperform Hilldog) as a good chunk of undecideds break for him, the only question is by how much.
it will however be hilarious if non-Ossof protest Dems cost him the margin of victory, they are presently at 0.8%
to a runoff we go, Ossoff hanging around at 48.3% and that is not expected to change much with the outlying votes.
Another close loss for the Libs to hang their hat on!
He overperformed expectations in a red district, so I feel good about the result. Now we have an extra two months' time where criminal indictments of Trumpsters could start dropping. Or for nuclear war to break out.
Losing is winning 2017
I think you mean he just didn't lose yet
the only silver lining is they now have an opponent to attack up to the special election and RNC had already been going scorched earth on him. so basically the propaganda will get a bit more even. Cannot wait for neolibs to talk about what a victory his 4 point loss is gonna be.
Are all these special election seats up again in 2018? If so, the actual results are functionally meaningless either way. No major legislation of negative consequence is going to pass the House by 1 or 2 votes but not be filibustered in the Senate.
Oh, I almost forgot. We also have a chance to get a government shutdown before the runoff now too.
