Supposedly a bill like that one regularly gets put to congress and regularly fails. It doesn't mean it'll fail this time and it's worth telling your senators not to be idiots, but the EPA isn't as worried as they could be.

reports senior Senate leadership is moving against Puzder as the votes won't be there. Trump will have to withdraw the nomination or face a humiliating defeat on the Senate floor.

Top Senate Republicans have urged the White House to withdraw the Andrew Puzder nomination for labor secretary, a senior GOP source said, adding there are four firm Republican no votes and possibly up to 12.

Puzder needs at least 50 votes to pass with the tie-breaking vote of Vice President Mike Pence, and Republicans only hold control of 52 seats.

Four contenders emerge for Trump's Labor post after Puzder pulls out

Two administration officials told Fox News late Wednesday that potential nominees include former National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) members Peter Kirsanow and Alexander Acosta, former South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation Director Catherine Templeton and Joseph Guzman, an assistant professor of labor relations at Michigan State University who advised Trump during his presidential campaign.

Trump met with Acosta and Guzman Wednesday evening, sources with knowledge of the meetings told Fox News. One administration source said that more candidates could still be considered.

Honestly, it's not like research in one won't help the other. I'm sure technologies researched while doing exploration can be used to help curb climate change. If anything this is better overall, as long as the budget isn't lowered at all.

Like how the CDC was told not to use federal funds to investigate gun related incidents.

Hey we're gonna kill off any regulations slowing down America's efforts into preventing global warming/climate change and then follow that up with withdrawing federal funding into investigating it.

All the meanwhile we're gonna divert this money towards space exploration because conservatives like outer space more than they like climate change even though several notable people have stated they want space exploration to become a private industry.
