Senate just passed a bill supporting sanctions against Russia and Iran, 98-2 (only nos were Bernie and Rand Paul). Russia for election meddling, Iran for ballistic missile tests and terrorism support.

Bernie supported the Russia sanctions but not the Iran ones.

So the newest tactic to push Democratic senators to stop the AHCA is vote-a-rama. As part of reconciliation, because it only requires 50+1 votes to pass a bill, there are no limits to the amount of amendments that can be proposed. Each amendment requires a floor vote, so Dems can literally show up with 10,000 amendments that have to be dealt with one by one before a floor vote on the bill can be held.

As far as I can tell, there's nothing McConnell can do to get around this - and the last thing he wants is exposure for the contents of this incredibly unpopular shitshow of a bill they are cooking up.

I've been calling Kamala Harris and Diane Feinstein's offices (LA and DC) a few times per week pushing for them to put up every roadblock possible, and you should call your Senators to do the same. If you are someone who bitches about how Dems lack backbone, help them develop one. Put the heat on.

um no the RCP aggregate shows the last 4 polls as

for an average Ossoff lead of 0.2%, a value that the average margin of error is 20 times greater than. the polling shows a statistical dead heat.

i lean towards Handel simply because this is still the same seat Tom Price won by 23 points in 2016. i know Trump is terribly unpopular and congressional midterms almost always trend toward the party out of power but i have a difficult time seeing Democrats picking up such a traditionally blood red seat, even with the amount of money they've thrown into it.
