idk if repeal of MLR is enough for them to take on preex with a diluted consumer group. They don't need a ton of time to try and kill. Especially if there is any truth to 3 R's pushing back later today.

The optics of "the final amendment to push it across the finish line" being allowing insurers to deny those with PECs is horrible.

Remember the House bill still had guaranteed issue as well - unless states chose to opt out, and insurers didn't kill that even though they know many if not most states wouldn't opt out.

Democrats have this huge problem that consists largely of "our base loves us and will never vote for the shitty Republicans" coupled with "our message isn't the problem, people who don't resonate with it are". Nobody should be surprised that they can't fucking win, because they thumb their noses at anyone who disagrees with their platform.

I've been saying this shit for forever. This is one of the worst parts of the left I cannot stand. This is where we get the over the top PC culture from. They expect to berate and everyone will fall in line, and if you don't agree with them they try to completely shut down the conversation.

They are turning repubs into victims, and I honestly couldn't give a crap if they are actually victims or not, if they feel that way, they get defensive and believe their beliefs even more.

And the solution is to go left

Going more left may help votes, but it may not help the country. You have to remember that in the extreme left you find a gaggle of anti-vaxxers and anti-science people.
