He's done enough awful that you can't call him good, but he has done some good enough to make things muddy.

I'm not going to say you shouldn't ever dance on graves, I've done it before and will again, but save it for real clear cases like Falwell, Phelps, bin Laden, Manson, etc.

You're thinking of it wrong. What you should be asking is why we didn't bring it up earlier if there were signs of degeneration for a long long time.

No one should forget that the only reason were having this conversation is because McCain volunteered the info. If he had kept shut we would have a veteran senator with a brain degenerating disease making decisions that affects hundreds of millions of lives. Now, imagine if the same is true of Trump, who has shown a similar decline through the ages.

Sure they could, but isn't the AHCA harsher than the senate plan? And one of the reasons why at least a few senators won't support it is because of how harsh it is already?

AHCA actually cuts Medicaid less than the BRCA in the out-years. It doesn't have any sort of "individual mandate" or continuous coverage lapse penalty either.
