I remember back in 2008 feeling so sorry for McCain for having chosen the dumpster fire that was Sarah Palin for his VP. I had at least some respect for the guy back then which has been dwindling a lot over the years. But I could watch that all day, so happy some of the guy I thought he was is still there.

it's dead, for now. repeal and replace died, repeal and delay died, skinny repeal (the only one to came close to passing) just died. they could of course try and pass other anti-Obamacare legislation in the future, but there is presently zero political will left for further attempts. Elephants are moving on.

and that tweet essentially told Republicans to move on and try again later. Obamacare repeal is dead as Dillinger.

It just means Obamacare dies a somewhat slower death instead of whatever the hell was just tried, but it's still a dead system walking. The Republicans aren't going to bail it out, and currently, the Dems are in no position to get power back during the mid-term elections to bail it out either; hell, they wouldn't event vote for a single payer amendment. So what should happen (lulz) is an actual Bi-partisan bill that should have happened in the first place (if one believes the gobernment should be involved at all, which the current mess should scare the fuck out of anyone thinking it's a good idea to throw us all at their mercy). Maybe that scenario would produce something that actually addressed the costs of health care, which is clearly something the ACHA has failed to do.
