    I guess I haven't been playing enough to be bothered by the stamina. I have Möbius, FFBE, and FFRK to go between.

    Is Psychic bugged or can I just not English? I swear the tooltip states it's an AoE heal for both the target and all allies within 2 spaces of the target. Yet my own units and enemies I see using it only do single target heals.

    I don't have physic but that would be a description bug; physic is typically a ranged heal.

    That's a shame. I figured as much but was hoping they'd have buffed it. Healing is pretty weak at higher levels. It doesn't scale at all.

    That depends on the healer skill. Serra for example is a more offensiv oriented healer while Wrys is basicly FFXIs WHM, his offensiv stats are shit but he heals excellent. Fully skilled 4Star Wrys can full heal any ally that drops below 50% HP (i think). He just sucks at nukeing armored units compared to Serra.

    I guess I shouldn't complain that this game has given me some decent 5 star characters... but it absolutely refuses to give me Lyn.

    I have 5 star Takumi, 2 5 start Camillas, 2 5 star Roys along with 1 4 star, 5 star Effie (who is freaking amazing) and a 5 star Lilina.

    Lyn has abandoned me...

    Honestly, I feel the game's identity as a turn based strategy game does not translate well into an endless, grind-driven system.

    These kind of mobile games are based on re-doing the same events over and over, with minor luck-based variations, while power creeping units, so it's not surprising they're mostly based on the dungeon/loot formula.
    But for me that is not something that really works with the strategy genre, so I guess we'll see how this game fares in a month or two

    Pulled 30 characters now, still no 5 stars. Only got the special animation once, for a 4 star. Pretty, uh, disheartening.

    I'm kind of torn between uninstalling, starting over with rerolling, or just accepting that I won't do much with this game and its just a 15 min diversion every few hours. Ive got one more "free" summon left with stones from Lunatic and Hard, but still just the one 5* Lyn I started with after rerolling for 4 days. My 5* chance is something like 7%.

    Theres a few big glaring issues, some of which I'm surprised that Nintendo didn't account for. Be prepared, musings are ahead.

    Stamina: This is the big one, and Nintendo should have been cognizant of this with regards to design.
    - Equipping skills should not cost stamina. I know we're in the "release bonus" phase, but hopefully they see the light and just ditch this concept.
    - Max stamina should increase at the rate of +1 for every "realm" you clear. So right now, max stamina would be 50 + 27 (9 each for Normal, Hard, and Lunatic stages).
    - If not using the above, then the recharge should be 2-3 minutes. Yeah you'll "waste" more stamina sleeping, but at least you play more during the day.

    Experience: Not really about gacha luck here (thats to come!) but more about the training stages.
    - Again, the "release bonus" has these stages at half stamina. To be honest, they're actually perfectly priced for what they do right now. 16-18 stamina for upper level exp stages is just absurd. I hope Nintendo notices this and keeps it as is.
    - Speaking on the stages themselves, they need a little bit of a tweak. None of these exp stages should be less than 4 enemy units but also no more than 5.
    - Additionally, the badge offered as a reward for clearing should determine the make-up of the enemy team. So if blue badges are being offered as rewards, I feel like the make-up should be 1 green unit, 2 red units, and one neutral. This would encourage team composition changes (which encourages pulling) but not make it impossible for a person with poor pull luck to ever level up.
    - Experience crystals should drop much more plentiful than they do now. I don't want it to rain exp, that's not fair. But the drops are maybe enough for 1 unit to gain 1 level without burning the 2 levels worth of universal exp crystals you have.

    Orb Access: I understand the need for games like this to be profitable, so I'm trying to limit my criticism of the 'gacha within a gacha' summon chance to be fair to both f2p and whales.
    - Pay 1 orb to refresh the orb colors per summon. Can either do unlimited number of times and guarantee 1 orb of the color you want, or once per session (so technically the first summon would be 6 orbs for 6->4->4->4->3) to guarantee 2 orbs of the color you want.
    - The gacha rates themselves are not the worst i've played with, but not the best. I don't know how to improve this with the game being so new, so just kind of left this in as a complaint hoping the above change would fix that slowly.
    - Orbs need to be a *touch* more plentiful. Doubling is too much, but the current rate I feel is an obvious "drip... drip.. drip..." when it should be more of a "dripdripdripdripdrip". Not the "I don't want my pipes to freeze" drip, but the "whats that noise? Oh, I left the faucet on" drip. Maybe a daily bonus with every 10th day getting 2-3 orbs.

    Feather Access: The real limiting factor in this game to be honest. This is hard to change without having Nintendo lose money hand over fist or scaring away the people who have eternal 3* gacha luck.
    - Half the cost of unit promotion at level 40. So 4* would need 10k, 3* 1k, etc at level 40. This way you're still playing the game, which will encourage gacha pulls on the long term but you're not putting the bad taste of a long, long, feather hoarding month or two just to complete a 5* into the word of mouth of players.
    - Introduce promotion items that can auto re-class 3* and up without feathers and regardless of levels. First Seal 2->3*. Second Seal 3->4*. Master Seal 4->5*.
    - These promotion items could be available from events that occur once a month or so, with certain bonuses afforded if you complete it a certain way. These would technically have to be designed to be cleared by a decently equipped team one rarity level below, but then attaching special conditions like "Defeat the Archer First" or "Defend for 4 turns" would get you the seal.
    - Repeated clears of this stage would be a good feather farming event. Put these up once a month for maybe a week.

    Unit Imbalance: Some of these issues are due to the mobile format, yes. But there are some glaring issues with unit types (Flyers), not necessarily one individual unit (Tacomeat).
    - Allow terrain to offer defensive bonuses. This can almost fix flyers entirely (almost), without singling them out. Places like mountains can offer as much as 30%, which honestly isnt as bad as it sounds because flyer units aren't the strongest and can't become armored units just but sitting on a mountain. Forests maybe 20% and rivers maybe 10%.
    - If not the above, then something needs to be done to account for the "Fire Emblem-ness" of crits and evasion. Not sure on options that don't destroy the "no evasion" mechanic, which is why I proposed terrain as defensive positions.
    - I also considered adding some "healing" points on a map, like castle towers or turrets. That would be difficult with maps the size that they are.
    - Healing units should be able to heal 2x tiles away regardless of mounted or not. This would GREATLY increase their use on a team and make it a real choice between them or an archer for that 4th slot.

    So uh, just finished the 9 chapters on normal...so the endgame of this is just leveling up your mans and doing arena duels? Is there a point to the special maps that I'm not understanding?

    rerolled for Lyn, took about 10~15 rolls total. started going for blue/green to round out the team, first blue orb was 5* Robin (male). WELL OK THEN


    almost done with ch9 though, seems like this game could use a bit more content and fast :/

    Feels a lot like FFBE and launch. So I'm willing to give it time since FFBE became one of the more solid mobile games I play. But my god the need to do something to bring back a FE feel. The lack of terrain bonuses, eva, act and crits really waters this down far too much for me.

    Wouldn't kill them to slightly increase map size and let you bring 5 units. 4 is too limited.
