I've gotten 3 of the 4 brides and the only one I haven't gotten is Cordelia and I want her so badly!
I've gotten 3 of the 4 brides and the only one I haven't gotten is Cordelia and I want her so badly!
I wanted cordelia, got lyn. Im not trying for more. rates are pretty poo
I've gotten pretty lucky, Ive probably only spent 30~ orbs and got the other 3.
God damn. Having bride lyn on a team when you encounter a team of Takumis and Hectors is fucking amazing.
I was not ready for Tempest Trials, I should've invested into making Horse emblem instead of going all in on making Bride Cordelia literally perfect.
What's all the skills and whatnot on your Cordelia?
Any guide/tips on how to get into if I've ignored it since it came out, but am a big FE fan? Or is it not worth it, since some stuff is time sensitive? Is there a long catch up process?
It all seems a little confusing, looking in. haha
Brave Bow+
Reciprocal Aid/Ardent Sacrifice
Luna
Life and Death 3
Desperation 3
Threaten Def/Threaten Speed 3
Attack/Speed +1
Mine is -atk/+spd, so I try to use Threaten Def to offset it and with speed +1 seal, she has a decent 39 speed. Wish I could've gotten better IVs, but the +spd is still very nice.
As for tips/guides, I would check the following sites since there is quite a bit to take in now

A few easy tips if you're just starting:
-Try to reroll to at least get a decent 5* unit at the beginning to carry you. Once you are satisfied, you can link the game to a nintendo account for 10 orbs, but you can't reroll after you do.
-There are some free units available on a daily rotation. Of these, Olivia is very good as dancers/singers are great units and rare.
-Focus on getting 1 team to level 40, then branch out, using the team to get feathers/orbs/etc from all the modes.
There is lots of various events and banners for getting characters, so I wouldn't say you're too late. There is a lot about the game that has changed, mostly for the better. Such as being able to rearrange your party on a map and the ability to inherit skills from others.
And frankly, the new tempest stuff has me playing harder right now than I have since I started it up. It gives great rewards which events were, in my opinion, lacking.
It's fairly easy and straight forward aswell. There's a lot of smart people on BG that play and could explain detailed questions better than me

Echoing off the others, once you get a 5*, save your orbs to finish your castle to get the +100% exp bonus.
For tempest trials, if you have difficulty clearing Veronica on the final Lunatic maps but can otherwise only beat her on Hard 5-maps, you may as well just be doing Lunatic runs. Base values all around:
180 at absolute best for clearing hard5, which you might fall short of due to turn counts or losing a team.
240 for clearing 6 maps in Lunatic7 and then losing the final map.
Lunatic maps give 40 points per clear so if you aren't able to beat Veronica reliably there's no reason to pick Luna5 over Luna7 as you're basically just getting 2 more chances for points.
I like the new mode, it's like 5 -7 mini GHBS where you can't just slap fury and desperation on everyone and expect to one shot everyone.
Saying that, last round of 6 or 7 is brutal with hector + veronica. My only answer for both of them is a -att TA sanaki -who gets one shotted if olwen or rien shows up
It's brutal if you're like me and your only good 5* unit is some blue (Linde), who 100% can't carry it home against Veronica regardless of the rest of her team. Have to settle for just not winning and grinding the 6-win, lose-7th.
In fairness Linde is (one of?) the best blue mage in the game. The major difference between her and Thar'ja is that you need to rip off Odin's tome for Linde. The Desperation/Life and Death/Ardent Sacrifice build is extremely potent on both of them.
Yeah, that's what I've been using. Often lets me win even uphill in the weapon triangle, but not against some of the stuff in tempest. I pulled out a win once against Veronica but it was a very tame team that I could actually handle (Eldigan/Rein/Gwen/Gordin).
Though I've been going back to using Aura for Tempest because I often can't maintain buffs from turn to turn, I appreciate the 1 lower cooldown on Moonbow, and the residual healing helps a bit.
I have non of the bonus units at 40 for tempest. Welp imstead of getting 700ish points i get 500 with my horse emblem. Luckily Xander or Cecilia can take care of Veronica
Like the new event but its grindy... 50k points, sitzing on 10k atm

What does Horse Emblem mean?
So there's the Hone/Fortify C passives that give allies atk/def/res/speed buffs at the start of a turn, right? Well there's class-specific variants (Hone Fliers, Hone Cavalry, Hone Armor, and ditto for Fortify) that buff the same for specific subtypes. Like Hone Speed/Attack 3 give +4 to the one stat, but Hone Cavalry gives +6 to both.
People will combine this with Gronnblade/Rauorblade/Blarblade tomes (adds +1 damage per +1 buff) to make a really strong attacker. Horse Emblem is the cheapest to build because the essential passives come from Jagen and Gunter who aren't hard to come by and Cecilia is a respectable budget user of Gronnblade. Fortify Fliers needs a couple 5*s and Armor is moot without a couple essential 5s.
Any ______ Emblem team refers to a team of four (or rarely, three + a dancer) units of the same type. So Horse Emblem is four mounted units, Flier Emblem is four flying units, and Armor Emblem is four armored units. These teams are typically very effective because of the Hone/Goad/Fortify buffs. Hone ______ will give +6 ATK/SPD, Fortify ______ will give +6 DEF/RES, and Goad ______ will give units within two spaces +4 ATK/SPD during combat and stacks with Hone ______. These are very potent buffs on their own as you can imagine. Hector and Effie become nigh-unkillable with Armor buffs.
Flier Emblem is less popular because A) you need 5* Hinoka for one of the flier buffs and B) you really need Easter Camilla to take advantage of all the buffs. Armor Emblem is also a little less popular because it relies pretty heavily on Distant Counter abuse meaning you need at least one Hector (and ideally an extra one to feed Distant Counter to Zephiel) and armor mobility means Armor Emblem is generally less effective on defense.
Horse Emblem, on the other hand, is popular because the Cavalry buffs are easily obtainable, and you have a bunch of good mounted units to pick from, including at least one of every color mage meaning you can use the Blade tomes in conjunction with Cavalry buffs to skyrocket your attack and one-shot basically every other unit. You also have tanky units like Xander, Eldigan and now Camus who are really good on their own and become next to impossible to kill with cavalry buffs. These factors, combined with the high mobility of mounted units (made even better with Reposition and Swap) make Horse Emblem both really effective for offense in the arena and pretty difficult to deal with as a defense team.
You can put the bonus unit in their own team at the beginning and immediately surrender. You'll lose 5% in survival and gain 40% from the bonus. Since you have 10k points, you should have masked Marth if you didn't send her home. It takes up one of your teams, but at least for me once my main team dies, rip.
