Ok, so I rerolled an account long ago for this game and ended up not playing it due to emulator crashes and couldn't play it on my phone thanks to no space due to Brave Exvius and FFRK.

Now with the new content patch BE released, the game became too big to fit on my phone anymore and I had to axe it and put it on Emulator, so I decided to put FEH on my phone instead.

Is Lyn the best choice for the free summon pull? Tier lists her as S+ and the others as A+ so.... leaning toward her, but don't know if the others have some special property that might make them better over her.

Edit: And now the game is constantly crashing upon load up, so I may have to once again shelve this, /sigh. Chose Lyn though since S+ seems like a safe bet.

Lyn is easy the best because her default kit set lets her counter alot of the meta game prevelant units and she functions on her own pritty well. However i think Brave Ike is better, but for him to function well on Enemy and Playerphase he needs soem skill inheritance and a proper Team Setup and then he is like a Beast. It really boils down to what your prefered playstyle is: Enemy phase or Player phase. Lyn makes it easier and is just easy mode imho and not very Versatile, aside from her Movement. B!Ike i find to be quite versatile in Enemy and Player Phase, but as said needs some skill inheritance and a Proper Team behind him.

Managed to get a new Arena Highscore of 5072 useing Azama B!Ike PA!Azura and Sonya.

Azama and B!Ike are unstobable coupled together, Just park B!Ike blocking a path and watch all melees fail to his Bonfire, Distant Counter coupled with Azamas Rehabilitate. The only Threat comes from Green or Red mages

Finally got a Takumi from the free pull on the new banner! Too bad he's -SPD +RES lol... But he's free so no complaints.

he will prolly be able to tank everything that involves magic, but i think he will be very weak Defense wise. If his Defense doesnt suck he will also be able to tank bows, but that means he will be slow... which means he might not be able to counter kill. I think he is the only Red unit that will be able to tank Reinhardt lol 50% reduction on first and 80% reduction on 2. hit

With Distant Def 3 and the Distant Def 3 sacred seal I believe BK can survive and kill Reinhart as well, but they're the only two reds than can survive him that I'm aware of.

Any recommendations for a character to compliment my Hector, Lyn, and Reinhart team, maybe Erika? Also my Rein has -atk bane, should I just send him home? -_- Unless there's a way to change boon/bane? I literally have to time to do research lol. Thx.

If you mean Brave Lyn, you probably want a decent red to take care of green units (Thar'ja works well as one of the only units that can OHKO Brave Ike). If you meant regular Lyn you could probably benefit from another ranged unit or more specifically someone who can deal with Brave Lyn because Hector doesn't really have the movement range to do it well (and unless he's +ATK I believe he needs +4 ATK from someone to OHKO her). Brave Ike is pretty good at dealing with Brave Lyn, especially if you give him a 3 charge move like Bonfire.

As for -ATK Rein, yeah that kinda sucks and there's currently no way to change it. Your best bet is probably hoping you pull another 4* Rein with a better boon/bane combo and bumping that one to 5* and merging the -ATK one into him.

Pulled Deirdre, which I think is -SPD, but can't tell what her +stat is since I think wiki values are inaccurate. Wondering what all I should put on her aside from Glacies and her innate B. Honestly way behind on most everything these days. x.x

She's basically a better Julia so any build you'd run on Julia will work well on Deidre. -SPD is probably her ideal bane as well.

Got Sigurd while sniping for Deidre and Ephraim on my free pull (1 blue, 4 colorless). I have a +spd Julia already, so ill take what I got only dropping 60 orbs.

Oddly enough, I got Seliph when I drew 4 red orbs and Sigurd popped when I had 1 red and another 4 colorless.

+HP - Def though. Not like it matters much with his kit. Bane def is still 31.

Also, the combination of Rein, Brave Lyn, a dancer and Sigurd is going to be obnoxious in the Arena.

question for tanking mages during enemy phase: which is better to use Distant Def or Deflect Magic? I have both seals at level 2 but can only afford to bring one up to max.
I'm guessing distant def is better for one shot mages like Lilina and the latter is for Nino-like mages. Or is Distant Def just better for both?

Distant Def will allways benefit you and will work very well for Units that have a Distant counter weapon (Ryoma, Ike, Camus etc.)

Deflect Magic is only good when: Reinhardt or Olwen attack because of their double attack tomes, or when a fast mage like Nino attack when in Desperation range. Also Deflect Magic works well for units that cant counter attack (as in non distant counter melees).

In other words if you have Distant Counter run Distant def, if you cant counter then run with Deflect Magic. Or if you just want to counter Reinhardt run with Deflect magic.

Man oh man did IS troll everybody with Ayra. Left her off the actual Geneology banner which has three already good units for people to blow orbs on, then put her into her own banner, with another Red unit (Eldigan).

FEH has been very good to F2P players so far in my opinion but this was a pretty scummy bait and switch.

In trying to view the situation as someone who didn't get her, the only real salt should be that she wasn't on the Jugdral banner originally and not that she was placed on a separate TT banner.

I guess you could call it bait and switch, but honestly IS never said "Ayra's coming in a banner!" and then dropped her into a "Characters w/Desperation" banner. Eldigan and Lachesis are still Jugdral characters, and not bad ones at that. I think people would be a little less upset, though, if there was another new character on the 2nd banner instead of Eldigan or Lachesis.

People should expect surprise banners that aren't datamined, and honestly people are mostly getting their knickers twisted because Ayra was datamined and everyone got pie in the sky hopes she would be a free unit. For as generous IS has been with FE Heroes, it's still a gacha game.

I think the other thing contributing to the mad is that they baited everyone's orbs out with the Geneology banner. They knew people were dying for the Geneology units so they put three good ones in a banner knowing everyone would still chase Ayra anyway.

It doesn't help that she's one of the best sword infantry units in the game with just her base kit. Everyone's bitching about power creep too.

Well, at some point in a growing gacha game banner format simply will change. I think the REAL salt here is it occurred within the "FF6 vs FF7" area of FE fans instead of something smaller like SS or SoV.

As a longtime player of FF Record Keeper, I kind of equate it to this: Event banner 1 is generally the new shiny toys. Everyone wants them, and they are good. Banner 2 becomes the re-tread banner of slightly older but nice stuff with one or two goodies thrown in. Ayra banner is FFRK banner 2.

This simply may be the reality of the game going forward - especially concerning a main event centered around a single games canon like TT usually is. We can expect a new character trio or quad banner, and then a followup with a new character and some in-realm retreads or ability fodder. As long as IS keys us in by allowing us to see datamines on instances such as this, we should assume this is the m.o. going forward.

IS is very generous with giving us in-game promotion items (feathers) and above average in the summon currency department. We've had a little bit of a gravy train since the CYL event, and the userbase may just need to settle down off this sugar high and recognize IS still wants to make money as much as they want to promote Fire Emblem.
