Didn’t McCain do the same thing with the ACA repeal vote?
Edit: what archi said
Okay but whats the benefit? To just put it to rest?
I don't really get it either. Partly it's a way to say "I'm not so important so as to kill this by myself, the full Senate should get to decide". But that's probably not actually the reasoning.
And also even if the Judiciary committee doesn't recommend him going forward McConnell could still call for a full vote if the wants.
it's not about anything other than being a drama queen and loving the attention lol
Dunno why you guys setting yourselves up for disappointment.

Failing to get a committee recommendation could give the other swing votes the cover necessary to vote no in the senate and save face with their base.

Corker is a yes.
"Nothing that has been presented corroborates the allegation" is fucking outrageous given that no other people were called to testify and there was no investigation.
I mean...
Flake has nothing to lose because he’s retiring.
And if you could get either Susan or Lisa.
I have doubts still. I’d like to be wrong.
Corker also had nothing to lose because he's retiring.
If I had to guess, that'll help Bredesen. Tennessee dems will be pissed.
Well shit lol.
Put their former governor into the Senate, a Democrat who won two terms - the 2nd so overwhemingly that he won the popular vote in EVERY DISTRICT IN THE STATE.

He's very competitive right now.
