I find the idea that the woman would stop going to parties because she saw untoward behavior there absolutely astounding, as with the idea that because she didn't report seeing this behavior it didn't happen. Both of those notions rely on the absolute perfection of moral behavior in a young college woman regardless of any social expectation, which is laudable but sadly laughable in a realistic world. Moral absolutism is just not how people work, especially young people who are highly socially impressionable.
I find it highly believable that she saw that shit and said nothing and kept going because it happens all the time in the real world. It shouldn't, but it does. That's the reality of substance abuse and sexual assault on college campuses, especially in environments that follow a frat-like good ol' boy culture (which these parties certainly sound like). And back 30 years ago, in the culture then? It was a hell of a lot worse (as per the aforementioned movies which are a toned-down reflection of the reality of the time).
It's easy to not see why this is a big deal. We might never know if he really did assault these women, but we can most definitely find out if he lied under oath about his drinking problems.
I was always trying to fit in with the party crowd to be cool.
I think there’s still a video my friends share of me pouring gasoline on the grass while drunk less than 3 buildings away from the police station. Half the people there were smoking pot and we lit that shit up and tore off our shirts and added it to the fire while dancing around like idiots. It even has us flipping off the station.
What part of that sounded smart to me? Even after my friends were sharing all of us topless I went to another party. Why? Cause my friends swore I was cool as shit and told me to come to another one.
Fucking stupid. We set mushrooms on fire at the next party and filmed it too. I can probably share that one without the audio sometime. I know for a fact that audio has my friend and I drunk as shit sounding cringy with “oh my god” and I’d rather not relive that lol. It doesn’t have me shirtless and also we weren’t flipping off the police station while smoking pot. Lol. What the fuck.
I did have a guy call me a cockblock for preventing him from moving in on my best friend who was too drunk to stand. Guys just did that and my friends were really keen on watching out for each other because we knew the guys tried to take drunk girls “home”. None of that stopped us from going. We just believed we were smarter. It’s fucking stupid looking back on it.
Edit: pretending like teenagers and college students didn’t think they were invincible? Girls all thought they were smarter than guys. Lol.
Edit 2: I don’t have the vid but I snapped pictures from another phone: https://imgur.com/a/0KZjfgz For the record: I was the person who wanted to light shit on fire. But the second I suggested it, everyone’s eyes lit up like I had came up with a possible cure to cancer.
Edit 3: stupid autocorrect
Can’t get the video and edit it until I get my computer back but you get the idea.
I could go back and look at my years in college and probably tell you how many I threw myself (I want to say 12?) But I don't know how many I went to altogether let alone everything that happened, and I don't drink.

But he stated this under oath in front of the senate.
MITCHELL: Dr. Ford has described you as being intoxicated at a party. Did you consume alcohol during your high school years?
KAVANAUGH: Yes, we drank beer. My friends and I, the boys and girls. Yes, we drank beer. I liked beer. Still like beer. We drank beer. The drinking age, as I noted, was 18, so the seniors were legal, senior year in high school, people were legal to drink, and we — yeah, we drank beer, and I said sometimes — sometimes probably had too many beers, and sometimes other people had too many beers.
MITCHELL: What do you…
KAVANAUGH: We drank beer. We liked beer.
MITCHELL: What do you consider to be too many beers?
KAVANAUGH: I don’t know. You know, we — whatever the chart says, a blood-alcohol chart.
MITCHELL: When you talked to Fox News the other night, you said that there were times in high school when people might have had too many beers on occasion. Does that include you?
KAVANAUGH: Sure.
MITCHELL: OK. Have you ever passed out from drinking?
KAVANAUGH: I — passed out would be — no, but I’ve gone to sleep, but — but I’ve never blacked out. That’s the — that’s the — the allegation, and that — that — that’s wrong.
MITCHELL: So let’s talk about your time in high school. In high school, after drinking, did you ever wake up in a different location than you remembered passing out or going to sleep?
KAVANAUGH: No, no.
MITCHELL: Did you ever wake up with your clothes in a different condition, or fewer clothes on than you remembered when you went to sleep or passed out?
KAVANAUGH: No, no.
MITCHELL: Did you ever tell — did anyone ever tell you about something that happened in your presence that you didn’t remember during a time that you had been drinking?
KAVANAUGH: No, the — the — we drank beer, and you know, so — so did, I think, the vast majority of — of people our age at the time. But in any event, we drank beer, and — and still do. So whatever, you know.
MITCHELL: During the time in high school when you would be drinking, did anyone ever tell you about something that you did not remember?
KAVANAUGH: No.
Zealot being a pure boy making me look bad.
Fuck you. :V
I like beer.
My good friend and his wife both went to private DC-area Maryland prep schools (although co-ed) and played sports against Georgetown Prep and Holton Arms in the mid to late 90s. He's completely unsurprised by any of these allegations, and she knows multiple classmates that got blacked out drunk or drugged and had trains run on them. Nobody goes to the authorities, and if they do it gets swept under the rug.

What he stated basically means he claims he never did anything he didn’t remember doing.
Edit 1: Lets compare me and Zealot for example.
He could confidently say that no one ever had to tell him what he did after he drank. (Let’s pretend he was a light drinker instead not one if you want)
If I said that, I’d be lying out of my ass. I most certainly drank to the point someone told me the results of the party later.
Edit 3:if he drank as much as judge’s book and all their classmates say he did I have no doubt Kavanaugh has been blackout drunk. The statement is false as hell lol.
Isn’t the FBI’s scope just going to be limited to the sexual assault and not if he lied about this stuff though? It’s easy to characterize him as a huge party drinker and obviously not credible to recount tales of his nights because he was such a drunk but... the most anyone can say is that it definitely could have happened and he is a bad drunk.
Not exactly going to convince anyone on the conservative side. Hopes are just on Judge turncoating or if they do interview Judge’s girlfriend.edit: I also feel that Kavanaugh painted Judge as an unreliable man so he could later be discredited. Even if Judge were to come clean about the rape trains I somewhat feel like they will make him out to be some kind of mentally broken and ill man. bolded that because if that does happen I want to point back at it.
We all know he’s a bad drunk and a liar. That will not change any of the Republicans votes to a NO.
Bold prediction: Judge flips his remarks and says they were there. Kavanaugh and Repubs paint him as a drunk and a liar
The bold prediction is that he flips. It’s predecated on: 1. It happened and Judge was there. 2. Judge cracks.
More than likely he just says he has no recollection of the event. “Lol I was always drunk man” then you take the ex girlfriend and see what she says.
Edit: Republicans don’t need to paint him as a drunk though. Judge’s book and Kavanaugh already prove that. The liar part well... have you seen Judge’s YT vids? They feel disturbing. Half the women look asleep/dead.
Don’t watch them at work. People will really question it. and his views on rape are like borderline “what if she’s asking for it” while repeating rape is never ok. But what if she’s dressed for it, but I mean it’s not ok. Some women though want you to prove your power over them. Read that shit.

Mark Judge has gone and tried to purge the internet of all his craziness but I sure wouldn’t want him to be questioned. Edit: if I was Kavanaugh.
Maybe I’m the crazy one for thinking the man might crack lol.
Final thought: My opinion and yes you can throw stones at me for being judgmental on this. Mark Judge is rapey and the more that comes out the more I’m convinced of it. Kavanaugh? Idk but the two were best of buds. It’s not out of the question.
This is one of the gems that an unfortunate amount of my family members post on a daily basis:
"This is so simple we are not talking about a judge we are talking about a 17 year old young man who might not of been involved and if he was he was a 17 year old boy that doesn't define the rest of his life"
It's sad that these are people I looked up to growing up and now I just look at them with disdain.
might not of...triggered
“Boys will be boys” is what I’m getting from some people. I’d hate hearing that if I was a guy. Shit is insulting to say all men go through a phase of sexually assaulting a woman. Fuck that. Stop promoting that it’s okay to be rapey regardless of Kavanaugh.
