One person on twitter theorized that she has carpal tunnel and her physical therapist told her to hold her hand like that as an exercise. Apparently it is a common position to hold your hand in to relieve carpal tunnel. This whole thing is pretty crazy. Also maybe the ok symbol started out as a 4chan meme but if it picked up enough steam that white supremacists started using it that way in earnest it could quickly move out of meme territory and into a real thing.

Why is Kavanaugh such a threat to democracy? Been tuning in and out the hearing here at work and the dude sounds pretty capable and strongly believes in precedent.

The major concerns are;

1)Because when you're on the Supreme Court you get to decide what is and isn't precedential anymore.
2)He's quoted as supporting there being no penalties for crimes committed by a sitting President
3)Enormous amounts of his record were either not given to Democrats for review until the day before the hearings started or at all, and in fact enormous resistance to his record being released was encountered
4)Refusing to hold hearings on Garland was and remains a dick move that Democrats are unlikely to forget any time soon.
