Lets just for the sake of argument presume he is innocent, what emotional state would you expect a person to be in after weeks of being called a rapist on TV every night, having his family threatened, reputation tarnished for the rest of his life? I have to say I'm fairly baffled by the "why is he so angry/upset" takes. I would be more skeptical if he was calm and collected at this point.

For someone running for Supreme Court, a lifetime appointment?

I'd expect him to be calm.

At this point I fully believe Ford's testimony that he did it, however I also believe that he was probably so drunk that he actually doesn't remember any of it (which obviously excuses nothing)

Should a supreme court justice be calm? I'd say so. Should a supreme court justice be lobbing unsubstantiated claims at political rivals? I think not.

I would be calm at first and maybe get emotional over time, or be visibly emotional and try to compose myself. I cannot say I'd be totally calm, but if I was trying to be on the SCOTUS I would not be doing THAT.

and if I was accused of being violent and belligerent when drunk, I'd make it a point to not look belligerent when I'm sober.
