My family and relatives were cautiously optimistic before the game then when they got a 2 TD lead they were elated. Then after the INT and the TD everybody was like, 'We got this'. Cheers and high fives all around. Halftime show. A bunch of mostly older people who don't know who Lady Gaga is and basically calling her a whore (lol) and were confused by the special effects. Another TD by the Flacons in the 3rd and everybody is relaxed. People start talking about other things, my mom shows a new piece of furniture or something to the women folk. Patriots score. Miss extra point. Everybody laughs. FG by the Pats in the 4th. Reaction, "Meh". I personally still think they are going to win. TD a little bit later and the 2 pt conversion. Suddenly everyone is back in the room and concerned. "Don't you mess this up Altanta!", etc. That long drive near the end of the 4th and people are sweating bullets. At this point I know all is lost and while I hate to see fucking Tom with five SB rings I can't help but grin. NE scores with under a minute left. Room erupts. Bile is thrown at the Falcons, they can't believe they let them do this. 2 pt is successful. Daggers in their eyes. Room is silent. In OT a couple people say, "Come on Altanta!" retaining a glimmer of hope. Patriots can't be stopped. TD. Game over. My mom immediately gets up and throws a glass and leaves the room. Curses can be heard under breath. My dad and uncle start talking. "How could they let them come back on them like that?" and "They should have called that holding", etc. I wanted to burst out laughing but I didn't say a word cause my family would've killed me. I mean I was mad that they lost but not THAT mad. Everybody hung around a little bit longer and chatted but even after everyone left (I was the last one) I swear you could still feel a dark miasma hanging in the house. lol!
