I had a situation where I landed at the military compound, went in 3 story building with the accessible roof, all I could find was a double barrel shotgun... walking around.. i find another.. double barrel shotgun... so I load up both of them, sure enough I hear a group of people on the floor below me so I crouch and walk silently to the bathroom near the stairwell, and just wait patiently until I see/hear them coming closer.

I hear the first guy coming, I lean out of my bathroom, blast him with the first barrel, doesn't down him, blast him with the second barrel, knocked him down. Now I hear the second guy coming quick up the stairs, change weapons, blast this 2nd guy as he is coming up the stairwell, instant kill, turn back to the guy on the ground and with one barrel left loaded blast the downed guy back to the menu screen.

I think people really underestimate the range and effectiveness of shotguns in close quarters. More often than not, I'll opt not to pick up a second assault rifle that uses 5.56(I hate having two weapons that use the same ammo type, seems like a huge waste to me) and keep my shotgun instead.

shotguns are extremely powerful and have way longer ranges thatn most people expect. put a choke on it and you can do some really sick things.

Guy's voice was so annoying.

Went through almost a whole game yesterday without finding a helmet. Looted 2/3 of Lipovka, killing 1 dude and another took a UAZ and left. Went north towards Stabler because the circle was north, looting compounds on the way. Went to a couple small houses west towards Severny and nothing. Finally got a helmet after killing some guy when we were down to top 10, level 1, get another kill, then die to last guy probably proned in the grass somewhere.

EDIT: Just got my second chicken dinner. First game of the day. I can't take screenshots in game apparently. it either gives me a picture of the plane or the main menu and the game bar with Win G doesn't show up.

First game of the day and another chicken dinner. There's a hidden MMR in this game now right? Maybe I'm too low in the MMR rankings? I was in an open field and this guy couldn't get the kill. I proned and killed him before he could tag my last 25% hp. Last guy in this round had a guillie suit, but I saw him run from the other side of the circle and was able to keep an eye on where he should be peeking from. I killed him without him seeing me at all. He was looking off to the left while I popped out from behind a bush.

Dropped in to Mylta Power, stretching my chute, and a crate landed right in front of me. I didn't see it drop, I guess my view was blocked by the warehouse I was in, so when I was clearing the rest of the area, I saw it sitting in that concrete spillway. Had a Groza, Med Kit, and a Mil Vest in it. Ended up with 2 Med Kits, one off another kill, and had probably 4 painkillers and 6 energy drinks left at the end. Didn't even use a first aid kit, just boosters and one Med Kit after that one guy got me down to 25%.

Watching the 1st person games on test servers, it looks laggy as hell. Not sure I want to try it if it's going to be so laggy. Between teleporting around, rubber banding, and the slow loot shit I'm not excited.

The slow loot thing extends to third person too, I believe. Not excite.

Played a few games yesterday. First game I dropped in to Georgipol apartments, someone shot out all the tires of the cars on the roads, died tot he playzone when I finally did get a car. All I found in 4 apartment buildings was 2 Energy Drinks, 5 Bandages, and UMPs with 9mm. Terrible loot RNG.

Second round I just did shitty. No excuses, really. I looted Yasnaya, pushed towards the circle, spotted two guys and whiffed all my shots, lost track of the time and died just outside playzone.

Third round I came in 2nd. Was down to final 10 and I was late leaving my apartment to pick up the wifey so I decided to yolo. Got 5 more kills, down to me and the final guy, so I rushed him after taking a few shots and died. Wifey called me on the drive down and complained I was late. I told her I was cleaning up the kitchen, which I had done, but I did that right when I got home. None the wiser that it was because I was playing vidya.

I really don't like the loot change. Being fast at looting was actually a skill you could hone with experience in the game. Now everybody has the same lead ball chained to their ankle.

what's annoying is not being able to pick up loot while you reload.

honestly just make F pickup as fast as old drag/drop.

Got another chicken dinner in duo's. Again, 0 kills. I just try to be totally ninja, best I have got in solo is 3rd. I tried solo vs squad last night and got 7th.

I am usually playing this during the weekend or weeknights if anyone wants to join me. Sometimes I have a full squad sometimes I don't.

Is there any word about adding support for bigger groups than 4?

I think groups larger than 4 is in the pipeline, but I wouldn't expect it until after full release. I believe they mentioned it at one point, but I may have just heard a streamer talking about it.

Very glad they removed the loot delay. I played two or three rounds of FPP Wednesday and really liked it. I think I like it more than TPP. First game I got 3rd, but don't remember the others. I think one was the teens and the other may have been terrible. The only thing I didn't like is that I easily lose bodies to loot in the grass because you seem so low to the ground. That's more my own problem tracking where the kills were in a situation where I may not be safe to loot.

I feel like people are not aware of their surrounds as much in FPP. I [snuck] (this isn't a word!?) was able to sneak up on so many people in FPP and my first instinct was to knife them because of years of playing CS. Then remembered there's nothing like that in PUBG.

A suppressor on an AR is ridiculous in FPP. That and using a flash hider if you're shooting from a building so people can't identify where it's from as quickly.

I'm pretty much done playing until it's fixed. It's a fucking mess in the first half of the run with lagging through doors/walls, and not being able to land shots on people, so that just further encourages turtling earlier on until the servers stop shitting themselves.

All too perfect it occurred with the update that added $$$ crates. Overwatch system or bust.
