Added him on steam - he wanted to duo, I asked him about the VAC on his account and he said it was for cheating in CSGO - but he definitely doesn't cheat in pubg....

FPS gains yes depends on the area though, sounds fixed on all vehicles ( a lot better ) as well as gears + limit of grip tyre squeal.

Any word on them introducing an audio system where loud sounds just drown out the volume of other game sounds, instead of the loud sound being audibly loud?

Ex. Airplane comes overhead. Instead of it making you want to throw your headset across the room with the loudness of the plane, the airplane sound plays at an acceptable volume level, but makes all the other gameplay sound quieter while you're able to hear it nearby.

It's intentional. Bluehole will never admit it but they added cheater queues.

Because VAC bans are game specific.

You think you should be banned from every game ever on the platform if you get 1 VAC ban? What stops people from just creating a new steam account for multiplayer games? Nothing.

I got a VAC ban like 8 years ago in MW2 because it was p2p networking for multiplayer and I created low gravity and third person servers to play on by forcing myself into the host position and then modifying the server settings. I don't think I even should have been VAC banned from MW2(debatable) let alone the entirety of games on steam.

That's fine, valves new trust factor in csgo should be adopted over all steam games and high trust factor should get high trust vs high trust matchmaking in games with the player pool to support it.

Creating a new steam account doesn't remove access to the old one. You would still have credentials for both accounts.

That would be amazing. I actually really enjoy the addition of Trust Factor matchmaking. Since it has been added it seems like I have been getting matched with the scrubbiest people in my rank. Gained 2 full ranks in a couple of days.

My gold nova games have been way easier than any silver game I played in the last year.

Seems like, if you're not toxic, and you're not a cheater, Trust Factor is going to be a big improvement to the quality of players you are matched with.

In my case, I had been in silver for so long(after previously being GNM and coming back to a derank to silver), now that I am actually getting matched with legit silvers instead of smurfs and cheaters, I have just been crushing them like its my job. I hope this change lasts.

Have you tried using https://csgostats.gg/ to track your match history? It will show you how many players get VACd as well.

I tracked a bit before pubg and 12% of my games had a cheater on the enemy team.
