Updated the Leviathan guide with info on the pools challenge. I have another strategy that I think could work, but only included the one that that was successful tonight.
The second strategy would be to use the same two groups of three rotation, but stagger them so that one person stays in the middle until the next person arrives. Haven't actually tested it though, so not sure if it would be easier or more difficult.
Also, fuck the royal pools..
Also2, given how long it took (not just tonight, but in terms of the week..) I'm a little bothered that the fight only took 4 minutes.......
Haven't read your guide but the way the group I was with finally got it was just having everyone refresh their own buff and the 5th guy was just a floater helping clear adds. As long as you're fast you don't lost chain progress.
On normal or prestige? On prestige, it feels like you lose so much of the progress if you leave the chain to go to the middle and come back.
On prestige. We originally just had one person rotating between every plate but deaths really fucked that plan up and people had to start refreshing themselves so we just switched to refreshing yourself all the time and the floater would help with adds or a plate if someone was behind.
And now that I've done it once on Prestige I'll never do it again because fuck that stupid challenge.
Is Faction Rallies dropping at reset tomorrow, or 10 PST?
I feel like I'm missing so much of the game. What the fuck is Prestige mode?
A harder version of the nightfall/raid. For nightfalls, you have less time, for the raid, enemies have more health and there are additional mechanics. If you're on PC, I think the prestige raid comes out this week.
Ohh, so it's not out for PC yet? OK, that would be why I have no idea what you're talking about. Also because I'm generally clueless.
Gauntlets challenge:
Spoiler: show
Finished leveling Warlock last night and started doing pubs and unlocked the Flashpoint. Already up to 275 Warlock after a couple hours, where my Titan is 278 max. I wasn't able to get the Crucible or Nightfall clan rewards, though. Do you think it's because I hadn't unlocked the Nightfall and Crucible myself yet?
I'm really liking Warlock. I need to unlock the Arc subclass, but I haven't been able to stop using Devour... So damn good.
Weekly reset is today, so I'm assuming no one has unlocked any of the clan rewards for the week.
Sorry, I was talking about last night. I had been able to get my clan xp reward from Hawthrone, saw the Crucible and Nightfall rewards were highlighted in the clan roster, but wasn't able to get them after returning to orbit or relogging. My Titan had picked them up earlier in the week, so it seems it's specifically my Warlock that's having an issue.
You can only pick those up once per account.
Oh really? That explains it then. Since you can get Clan XP on each character I thought you could get the Crucible, Nightfall, Raid, and Trials on each as well.
Transferred the two MIDAs and a shotgun over from Titan, just needed to get the armor drops. Got my Eye of Another World up to 272, the rest of the armor slots are 267 or so, with that Exotic Dawnblade body piece at 288, which I may feed to my current body piece. It's much faster to get up there once you have a first character that's a higher power. Got a legendary auto rifle to drop at 281 which was nice, 4 higher than my MIDA mini-tool.
The struggle to get to 280 is real, though. Need to unlock the Crucible and Nightfall powerful rewards, then do powerful rewards on both and the exotic quests on Warlock. Hoping that will push me beyond 280 and close to 285. Then Hunter is up next.
EDIT: I won't be on tonight, but if I see you on again I'll invite you and we can do some more grinding for the powerful rewards and stuff. It'll be much quicker now that I have Discord set up. I would wait on the Exotics for your first character until you're right around 265 to try to get you above the 265 soft cap.
So which faction has the better wepons this time around?
