Wait a sec.. if Brother Vance and the Trials of Osiris were not actually connected to Osiris, were we just trespassing when we visited the Lighthouse? >.>
Future Mercury @.@
Guess that explains that purple shot some people thought was the Reef.
Ummmm.. does Vance not have eyes?
Twelve weapons you can craft after completing the campaign through optional quests -- the odd looking weapons we've been seeing in trailers.
I think there are thirteen weapon types though (six primary/energy, snipers, shotguns, fusion rifles, rocket launchers, grenade launchers, swords, linear rifles), so something is excluded..
Heroic Strikes playlist coming back.
Raid Layers: Leviathan has changed..
New encounters, new puzzles, new loot, new final boss.
So yeah......
Not as long as the current Leviathan, encounters leading to a boss.
Leviathan's level is being brought up with the next expansion (up to 300).
A third raid layer will be added with expansion 2.
So everyone who complained about not having a Cabal raid, I hope you're happy with this >.> <.<;
Nevermind, not going back into the palace -- going into the actual ship!
And that's it, activities next week (public events and the infinite forest).
Is layer like, just an extra wing of a raid?
I'll try to get some clarity but seems like it.
Edit : there will be the underlying theme going on (and obviously some reused assets) but basically think of the Leviathian as an overall raid hub, and each expansions raid will just be a different section of the ship, independent of each other.
I'm okay with that. The ship is so massive that if we just left it as is, it would be a huge waste.
Its Raid Lair btw according to the stream. Like each boss has a Domain/Lair that you have to get through before facing.
Yeah, calling it a hub sounds like the best way of putting it. From the brief bit they showed, you're not even going into the same entrance (that huge door on the first level that we've been wondering about since the start is the entrance). If reusing assets saves them time so they can make more involved raids, I think this is an acceptable compromise -- because as much as places like Reddit are bitching, I think most people would agree that CE was D1's worst raid).
You make it sound like some of them aren't terrible already. That said, maybe fun modifiers will make Exodus Crash less terrible.
Just kidding.. I doubt anything can save that strike...
Two things I'm interested in, which they'll hopefully touch on (If I havent missed it).
1) Are they going to make farming loot, the main point of the game, actually worth doing?
2) Is progression still going to be locked behind the stupid "Powerful Engrams" making farming absolutely pointless outside of your "Powerful" weeklies?
Cause if Duplicates are still worthless and progression is still locked behind Once a week engrams, I'll probably not be coming back to D2 like I did with D1 throughout its life. Games changed for the worse in my eyes, even though i know why they did what they did.
Edit: Side note: Drops worth chasing, at all, would be great too. Why Loot grind in a game with no loot worth grinding for.
