Soooooo much better on PC, wow. Even if a lot of my friends are sticking to PS4 I just can't do it.
I definitely feel like I'm aiming significantly better, its nice. I'm really liking it so far, done the strike a few times, really enjoying the Hand-Cannon feel, might be my main weapon of choice come launch. Scout and Hand Cannon... Sniper for good measure... mmmm
Liked what I've played of the PC beta so far. Looks damn good too.
Requested to join BG clan using my bnet since I forgot my Playstation network password, so I might be double dipping.

I hate that 3 people on my team are constantly on the same point even though it doesn't help capture faster. I tried using text chat and voice chat to ask them to cover angles rather than all stand on the point, but didn't help.
Related, why the fuck does text chat stay up the entire time even without new chat coming through? It stays up until I turn text chat off and on again in the settings. It needs to go away after a couple seconds.
Think I'm gonna start/main hunter this time around. Tired of Titan from d1 although warlocks super felt like it charged very fast and it was like doing sunreaver again which was fun. Just can't get used to jump.
I dont think they'll ever release a game where "Hunter/Rogue/Assassin/Thief/etc" isn't my default, and "Gunslinger" is about as badass as you get in an FPS so.... Fan the hammer baby.
Beta seems awesome on PC, but I have the next month free basically, so looks like I'm buying this twice, even though I'm basically a casual -_-
Between the new X-Com 2 and Tekken 7 DLCs + Divinity OS 2, there'll be more then enough shit to occupy me til the PC release.
Unless I get a copy of the game for free, like how I never paid for any of the D1 dlc![]()
Man this looks a lot prettier than I expected.
https://twitter.com/Bungie/status/902606191984914433Tomorrow from 5 PM to 7 PM Pacific, the Farm will be open to players in the PC Beta. Come take in the scenery. The Vendors have the day off.
this game is running splendidly on my pc and it looks fantastic. pretty much swore the game off but thought i'd give it a try, glad i did. hopefully pvp is fun.
I might be the odd one in that I do not enjoy any of the PvP aspects. PvE is always where it's at it, for me anyways. How exactly does that work for the "endgame", aka, finished the story mode, then just... go on raids like any other MMO and hope for loot? Is it actually strategic PvE in the raids? i.e: ok you need to put down the shield here, and you need to do the damage buff at this time, this time, and this time, or we fail the dps check, or is it "go in there and shoot stuff, if you sorta stay together, itll all work out."?
So every fight has adds, which are your normal trash mobs for normal fps gameplay. Bosses are more about mechanics and players fulfilling specific rolls rather than just shooting though.
To give you an example, D1's third raid was the most mechanic heavy -- for instance, for the final fight, there were four plates players had to hop on in a specific order, then one person had to run around platforms that spawned to collect a relic, use that to defeat a specific enemy, meanwhile the people standing on their plates had to kill a large enemy to drop a bomb and then a smaller enemy to prevent the bomb's detonation. After that, everyone had to gather in a specific spot, shoot the boss in its weakspot to stun it, then detonate the bombs to actually do damage.
The bosses also have DPS checks, but it's over the full course of the battle -- like, you'll have eight minutes to beat a boss, if you don't do enough damage, they have a mechanic that triggers a wipe and you have to start the encounter over.
As far as the story goes, they did a better job after year one in actually explaining it, but the raids build on the campaigns. That raid I mentioned followed a campaign where you fought against this invading force, culminating in a battle where you essentially defeated his manifestation in our world. The raid took place in his realm where he was still alive and that's where you really killed him.
Anyone playing on Ultra should change the AA setting from MSAA to SMAA. MSAA is basically cutting your frame rate in half, it's a known issue.
