The strike is basically a prestige nightfall (timed, prism modifier, locked loadouts), so you need to be 290+ -- although, I'd say wait till 300.. Cleared it with three 290s with around twelve seconds left. We approached it with the nightfall burn idea (three arc subclasses, everyone saves their supers to burn down the boss), but it just wasn't possible, at least not at 290. Still kept all three arc classes though.
You start with seven minutes, but can kill anomalies (glowing blue orbs essentially) to get thirty seconds more. You can see them by the blue glow they give off, but some are hidden, so you'll want to look around a bit.
In the first area, wait till the tank gets lifted to reveal the core, have someone grab it and run it straight to the spot and ignore any remaining adds. I think the biggest threat in that part are the three psion snipers which one shot you.
The carrier slams it, and then everyone should hug the left side of that area to avoid all the adds and book it to the room you go through to continue. Go together because one person on their own will get demolished. From there, bait and kill the lieutenant you need to kill to open the next door. After it's dead, make sure you get the two anomalies you can see from the door behind you.
Run through the next room and run to the area you can call your sparrow. There are a couple anomalies scattered along this route and out in the open, so keep your eyes open. You can't just spin around like normal, so we ran to the left side of the ship, hopped up, then called our sparrows under cover and ran from the adds.
The tank room is rough. We had one person hit the right switch, then everyone went to the left side and skipped the first tank. We then used our supers to clear the adds here and worked down the second tank. Since we all popped our supers, we had enough orbs that we could get it back by the boss fight (although you might be fine even without orbs). I would say we lost the most time on this room, so yeah, just be aware it sucks. I think on our best run we had around five minutes as we left this room (although we didn't beat it that time..) and over four on the run we cleared it.
When you enter the boss' room, there are a bunch of anomalies -- one gives a lot of time and is on the right side of the room I believe. Just treat this room normally, be careful, pick off the adds, etc.
For the final part of the strike, our plan was to push him to the first tower, kill adds, push him to the second tower, kill adds, then use our supers to bring him down after he came down the second time. In our winning run though, because of adds and deaths, we didn't have enough time to do that strategy -- we just pushed him to fifty percent, then popped supers and beat him. When we popped supers though, we thought he was running to the second tower, but then he came back. I will admit, we got super lucky -- twelve seconds left and we barely had enough damage (as he died, the two of us still alive died to his firey AoE attack). Then again, the previous run, we failed when he had a sliver of health left, so fuck that fight >.>
