I think they're moving forward with a more cautious and wise mentality. Their knee jerk reaction with D1 would've been to nerf everything right away. Seems like they are aware of some of the metas and unbalance but they're also aware things are going to change with new content and guns being released so it's all going to change soon anyways. They want to see how it plays out.

Biggest glaring mistake with the game in my opinion is the perma kinetic primary.

Part of it's the grind. The vast majority of it is that I find the game incredibly boring. Now granted I'm not doing raids or anything even remotely close. I am just completely uninterested in it.

You used to have different elements in your primary weapon slot. Different arc types. Not static kinetic.

Kinetic weapons don't feel like they really serve a purpose. It'd be one thing if they did more damage to armor, but they don't, so Energy weapons are occasionally more effective and never less effective.

I mean, for basic dmg, without shields. Kinetic does more everytime. When it comes to shields, of course, Energy does more to the shield.

I think many people do not realize this, once shields are down Kinetic weapons always do more dmg, I think they also have a higher crit multiplier?.

Also I would like to clear Calus at some point.

Yeah, in year 1 that was true, but they pretty much moved completely towards kinetic primaries in year 2 -- for all of year 2 and most of year 3, the only elemental primary was Zhalo.

I think Destiny is a thousand times better doing stuff with friends too. Like the other day I ran crucible for about 6hrs with some of our new clanmates and had a freaking ball the entire time.

I'm not big on PvE shit. Like, I haven't touched the raid yet, but when I ran with my buddies in D1 it was fantastic just because of the ridiculous shit that went on.

So maybe you just need a close crew to run with. If you already are and don't like it, maybe hold off for an expansion or two when there's more content. That, or it's just not your kinda game.

Playing with people you know or randoms?

I think Gad might agree with me, if you're playing with the same people each week and no one is getting too tilted from losing (emphasis on this one..), trials can be one of the best places to learn good crucible habits.
