Okay so my friend and I just got to power level 265 and we're looking for a clan. Is the BG clan active? Is there a BG clan? what do I do now besides weeklies for powerful gear, whats the fastest way to get to 300+ now?

Also what are people using to make fire teams for the raids and such?

edit: AND OOOONE MORE thing are auto rifles like the best? They seem to output the most dps for me even if they're like 20-40 levels lower

I don't get why people are so against cheesing Calus. I mean, for the first win, IMO, it should be done legit, but when it comes to time and energy. Whats wrong with cheesing it? We've all cheese strikes and other shit.

When it comes to PvE, everything is fair game. I prefer to do things legit/as intended at least once, but after that time is more important.

Nothing in this game is hard enough to warrant cheese. I'd say for us, as we are all decent to above decent players(cept fiend), cheesing isn't about difficulty.

And I'm talking cheese in general. Where do people draw a line? Is cheesing time in NF okay? Prestige NF? Strikes? Loot caves?


Also, everything for this discussion is about PVE. Cheesing in PVP is just a cunt move.

The thing about the Calus cheese is that it can take more time and energy to produce the glitch than just going at it legit. For example I spent like 10 mins right a group attempting to create the glitch and while they were fucking around I was on the destiny app finding a legit group who, when we got together, beat Calus in our first attempt with no deaths or mishaps. It’s just NOT a time saver imo. The adds outside are not a problem at all they’re just not.

Crota was never hard yet people did the Ethernet cable freeze. Shield Brothers was not too hard yet people still hid in that one spot on the wall. Undying Mind, people hide behind the portal. Archon Priest can hide on the rock, or under the platform.

I'm asking, in the eyes of BGers, regardless of difficulty, what qualifies a cheese, in your minds? And what makes it acceptable? Most people on BG seem to say that Calus cheese is stupid, yet Token farming via zoning in and out is acceptable. Why? They're both abusing something ingame.

For me, I like to cheese cause it removes/reduces the chances of people fucking up, a glitch happening, or something going wrong.

I've done the Atheon, Crota, & Archon cheeses multiple times, but I've also cleared them without numerous times as well. I think it's the lack of punishment (versus FFXI) that makes it so appealing.

Atheon mid-boss also had a grenade / rocket launcher push off cheese.

Okay, but I'm asking what do people deem as an "Acceptable" cheese? Because again, from whats been said, most BGers are against the Calus cheese(Regardless of how easy the fight is) yet are okay with other cheeses. What does a cheese require to hit the boxes of "Acceptable" in peoples eyes?

What makes zoning in and out for Tokens acceptable but No Mobs on Calus not?
