lol I still cant decide between which pc version to get, standard, expansion pass or deluxe.
How many here getting PC version?
Still waffling on the decision. My current attempts at a healthier more active lifestyle don't exactly blend with playing Destiny.
And the fact that there's not much to do after Tuesdays lol
Seriously, my Titan is at 304 and I literally cannot get a piece (after all powerful turn ins) to bump it to 305.
The Monty Python emote allows this. When your character leans through a wall, crouch, then you can proceed past the barrier.
Next week!
Lord Saladin 300 Engrams all day (it seems)
Is Saladin the iron banner guy? He always had your highest possible engram level no?
Gonna be playing IB since tonight's game looks to be complete garbage -- got a party open if anyone would like to join (no mic though).
Since Shadow of War came out last Tuesday (and South Park tomorrow), I've played this considerably less. Just not a lot keeping me around (same as D1)
I would honestly say, if you got bored with D1, you will likely get bored with D2. It's still early, and Bungie is still pushing things out every other week or so (raid, faction rallies, IB, prestige mode, etc), but I would be surprised if their events changed that much from D1 to D2. Faction Rallies and IB really are more of the same content and Bungie hasn't given any indication that they're going to make events that really feel/play different.
If you were one of those people who farmed gear and what-not in D1, that's a bit harder question to answer..
I had no RL friends to play d1 with, I have one for d2 at least. That was a big factor.
Don't get me wrong, I really like D2, but its very repetitive at the moment.
-There's 1 raid, which after playing it a few times, I'm not a huge fan of.
-All the gear is the same (the static stats etc)
-I'm not a fan of the gear changes (mobility/etc)
-I hate the shader thing (I know, minor complaint)
-I dont have any rl friends that play (didnt in d1 either, dont really have any that play vidya honestly), however love playing with people like Serra, Gad, Arrow, Kas, killer, etc
-Not a fan of the Crucible atm, in that you can't choose your playlist type, only competitive or casual
-Other great games are out now, including Shadow of War, South Park (tomorrow), and Battlefront 2 (in a couple weeks)
Some of that was what I was getting at with that last sentence. I get that more people finished the game and reached max level and whatnot. I'm sure that will be great for sales in that when each expansion comes out, more of those people will come back for their week or two of D2. That's fine. But, the counter point is that they've reduced the stuff that really kept some people playing. There will always be people like me who enjoy the gameplay (specifically the crucible) and keep playing week after week. But there are some players who kept playing because of the grind. Whether it was grimoire, T12, or that perfectly rolled weapon, some people kept playing the game for that -- and those aspects are gone, so I feel those people will get bored and eventually move on.
I think it was one of the videos 6souls posted that talked about an interview in Edge where Luke Smith said they have some ideas on how to make your second, third, tenth Better Devils better. Okay, so they're having conversations. Well, I think it was in the video they announced fixed rolls, they mentioned that those conversations were supposedly happening, so I'll wait till I actually see them put something in place.
10 Iron Banner packages, only one piece of armor, and the fucking Sidearm 4 times.
If they don't change the loot system for the next one, I'm not touching it. Playing anything but Supremacy without a Fireteam is just infuriating. Control is awful.
D1 was a better game at the time imo. The PvP is an embarrassment compared to Halo and the loot system is worse than vanilla.
Prioritize your health and set limits on playtime. The quality and efficiency of your playtime will go up. Its catered to casual play.
You PvP need to give Halo a try if you have an Xbox. The only reason I play Destiny is to play with peeps that don't have an Xbox. I'm going to sell my brother mine when the One X drops to get him over there.
Finally got Sweet Business, from a Legendary engram no less.
Unrelated to Destiny but related to Gustave's comment, Halo 5 and MCC receiving big updates in the coming months for XOX upgrades (and general playability in MCC's case).
