Yeah its a clone of lightning usb with slower quickcast trading it for hybrid flexibility. Single element dives I’m normally iffy on but being able to hit mag and phys is magicite five star relevant.

Reno with USB only is a beast indeed. He performs extremely well in my magicite team but I should probably start using him as MCH instead of BLM. I can't boost his thunder damage with gear if he's using magic due to my lack of magical gear in that sense. Sadly his rod is sinergy locked

I may have missed this but if you don't know what to pick from the osb/burst/ssb set I really recommend FF3. Two wind spears and arc's ssb2 is really good plus is holy robe, for whatever that's worth. The difference between it and pen's usb is much less than the difference between most damage SSBs and ultra.

On a side note I already have 2 of the 3 items there so not sure what to pick. Trying to decide between V (osb sucks but it's an osb and there's an enwater) VI (the omega waifu) X (water sword but everything else is useless) XI (osb) XIII (literally just for lightning burst 2) 15 (noctis but eh) and FFT (osb is an osb).

Yes. He gets 35% dual cast lightning LM2. that means he can double cast anything lightning. This + his 6* black magic access and 5* machinist, he can dual cast chain thundaga and the new 6* thunder magic from torment 2.0, or he can spam Tempest Snipe for physical.

That USB is beastly. Just read the description, it literally gives you everything to be a DPS beast. En-lightning, ATK or Magic +30%, reduce delay for 1 turn, and top it all off, you get quick cast every time you use lightning ability.

Thanks for this, I was completely indifferent about it when I pulled it, I even have his burst. - now I'm kinda excited (kinda)!

No dupes on I or II and would give realm heal for each but I'm awash in holy knights
XI would help on on phys ice since I have almost none, dupe on Prishe though
XIII I have Lightning's LMR, though I already have Cid OSB and Kain BSB, heal is a dupe
XIV since only other fire mag is Ace BSB and Krile BSB, Ysh is a dupe

Ayame is the 3rd best physical ice in the game atm. Her bsb,cmd2 and hailstorm are 3 stackable buffs to atk. Unlike the rest of your options she’s a full package with just that even if there’s no form of shout in the party.
You could just pull banner 2 to see if you get lightning gear from that first for ffxiii and lightning’s Osb is supposedly a disappointment.
FFXIV has a fire staff in it so that’s worth keeping in mind.
Ff bsb is weak but extremely fun looking in my experience.
Ff2 osb is fairly bad as far as OSBs go due to him needing an absurd amount of holy hits to maximize the damage while not actually having ANY knight abilities outside of bsb to make the already bad situation worse.
I’m personally biased towards you picking FFXI.
One last consideration is that there might be a FFXI banner coming in for the FFXI anniversary that you can use to get ayame a USB as well.

I'd suggest Papalymo then. Ace's BSB is incredible, especially against Isgebind, but Krile is incredibly dull. His 6* weapon's fire boost is sinergy locked though If you're already full of holy knights and relics there's no point in I or II unless you can/will want to abuse Firion's BSB (which should be in one of the free selections coming up soon with the CM revamp iirc).

Edit: The XI banner coming up (assuming we get it in GL) also has Ayame's BSB in it so it's a potential dupe. First 11 pull is half priced btw.

It doesn't but his BSB is instant cast and has party physical blink. You use it for utility not damage but even without Enfire his damage isn't that bad with proper gear boost.

However, Squall is husbando and Lightning is waifu, so I decided to throw my last 50 mythril in the hopes of Squall/Lightning AOSB/Glint/LMR....
