So are there any BSBs that still hold up to the 4* magicite's worth pulling for on this gem banner?

Steely's on here. Tidus's sonic strike has a lot of utility. Ashe's defiance is okay but is lightning armor. Weirdly I think reks's is still good. Rem's guise is an enholy on a good nuker (but then again it's just much worse than the usb). The enwaters for strago and gogo are entirely uninteresting but it's enwater in a rare element.

EDIT: Uh, yeah, it's an ENELEMENT in a rare element (enwater).
Healing bursts are better than nothing for torments. Eiko's is crit rate up which is one of the few ways to get it. Kefka burst 2 is a squall type but dark magic is a competitive sphere.

Squall BSB2 (wanted it for a long time) has his Arcane and USB
Tidus BSB2 (have OSB BSB USB)
Larsa BSB (have Penelo SSB + BSB) and Larsa SSB
Reks BSB (Don<t have a hastaga + Boostga for XII)
Iris BSB (have her SSB and USB)
Ramza BSB or BSB2 (have shout only but have both OK USB)
Rem BSB (have USB and SSB and fully dived)

CoD USB entry is kinda meh (7 hits AoE vs typical 10 hit ST) but for the sake of racking up chain, it's servicable. Doesn't have an NE component so she's stuck to only doing dark/lightning damage.

I had to drop it on Siren because the chase is pure shit (can't even hit cap with all the buffs so she's basically giving Siren a free heal). It's ok in AoE situations but on single targets you're better off with a dual casting dark mage instead.

Oh I know she is horrible for Siren, but she'll shine in 5* Magicite (so far away....) and other content. I view her USB like Ace's USB, as in the chase is just a bonus. She gives a stackable MAG buff to the party and Endark to herself.

Before you pick any BSB from the paid selection make sure it's not available in the Archive selections I've seen some good suggestions here but stuff like Ashe, Strago and Gogo can be grabbed for free if you haven't picked there yet.
Garland's BSB2 is a Squall clone but Darkness based (although he does not have Dualcast yet so it's not as effective), Squall is obviously top tier with his BSB2 unless you're planning to go hard on the upcoming Ultimecia banner.

Edit: Got Curilla's BSB as well.
