But I doubt Pence is implicated deeply enough, or Ryan honestly.

Although an investigation like this could lead anywhere. Who knows?

Sen. Orrin Hatch. It isn't any better. Followed by Tillerson, then Mnuchin then Mattis if it ever gets that far down.

tbf I've been assuming that someone smart is intentionally insulating Pence from all of Trump's crazy so he won't get pulled in and implicated.

The republicans would try their best to contain it to just Trump. I have no reason to believe it'd go further.

However, as I theorycrafted yesterday, it's entirely possible that this investigation spans years (remember that Watergate was 23 months from break-in to Nixon resigning). It's not a guarantee that Republicans will still hold the House by the time it all comes down, so if Trump and Pence are implicated, it won't necessarily be Ryan in line.

Man it's hard to imagine it taking that long though.

I think there is a reasonable possibility that this point that this will implicate many, many people depending on what facts come to light, especially now that Republicans can't stand in the way of subpoena power. I assume Mueller would have the ability to subpoena Trump's tax returns, for example, if he found them germane to the investigation.

I do agree that short of more definitive information about what Pence and Ryan knew and when they knew it (and imo they should at some point be deposed if the Russia connection is real), it's not probable that their involvement would rise to barring them from the presidency. I do think Sessions is in trouble though, along with a lot of people in the WH itself.
