Were crowds so sparse on day 1 in other ADGQ? I was curious why so many of the runners I like seeing aren't on the schedule for this event. Maybe winter AGDQ is just the "Bigger" one?

I do think AGDQ is the "bigger one", but I think the last 2, and now this one, have reached that sweet spot where internet traffic of the event if through the roof but as a result in person attendance is down a fair bit.

Also, 4th of July weekend for SGDQ, etc.

Guy in a beanie on the couch during SM run told everyone that in order to "prevent cancer" they should go stand in front of the hotel shuttle that left on the hour. Guy announcing the event decried it, then I believe told the audience multiple times to just be quiet instead of recognizing what had just occurred, so there was just a lot of awkward silence during the event's big finale.

There was also issues with the Waluigi "WAAAAAH" meme from last event getting a little overboard and interrupting some runners concentration.

I think it was also the same GDQ where the guy randomly congratulated his girlfriend on her 2(?) year anniversary since her gender transition in front of the whole crowd, and her looking completely mortified about it.

And Xno, that was by far one of the greatest things to happen. I really do think the crowd does get way out of hand too many times, and annoying fucks like chibi. Imo runners deserve to use CavemanDCJ as an example to have their voices be heard. GDQ has gone too hollywood tho, too many sponsors that removed the fun, and made shit more cringe.

It was a 100% super metroid 4 way race, as tradition, it was pretty much one of the 3 finale games. The crowd was there at full force, and i guess because those fucking cringy ass nerds were bored or something, they decided to go full Waluigi "wah wah wah wah" everytime someone picked up any upgrade item, singing along to that tune. And random waluigi "waaaaaaahs". It was seriously one of the most annoying things to take away from an awesome run. I'm not 100% certain, but i think one was at WR pace too.
