Without going into spoilers I thought it was okay. Felt most of it was backtracking on things we already knew and the last few minutes felt rushed. Other than that Spinel was a fantastic villain, music was great, and the concert scene is probably one of the best scenes in the entire franchise.

Just reaffirms my belief Pink Diamond/Rose Quartz was a terrible person and more often than not the main antagonist in the story. Completely selfish and apathetic to those around her. She was absolutely as bad as the dictator diamonds through and through.

I also hate the fact the movie never addresses or mentions Jasper or Pink Pearl. Easily the two most interesting characters everyone is wanting to see whats going on with.

Also, the tale to Spinel's backstory could've easily been done without backtracking the crystal gems of their memories. They give you an awesome song at the beginning with "Here we are in the future" to retread what everyone's gone through. Only to do it again with the retarded memory loss plot.

Finally, Spinel going to the diamonds as a pseudo pink diamond replacement seems like the most toxic shit ever. Extreme codependency with obsessive possessive individuals? Okay.....

So glad a season six is seemingly confirmed.

It was fine. To add on what Xno said on his first post, it was like Sugar was running out of money and needed to wrap the end up quickly. I hope this is the end of SU though. If the season 5 ending was the plot finale, the movie is the proper sendoff.

I enjoyed it but yeah the memory loss stuff slowed the movie down for me as well. I like Spinel's Steamboat Willie art style. Music and animation were terrific. Again this feels like an end to the series, but peeps on Reddit linked a recent popular voice actor's(can't remember name) Instagram post saying he recorded for SU. They need to wrap it up cuz aside from Jasper & Pink Pearl IDK what else they'll do with these characters. Should've just ended it on a high note like Gravity Falls.

That promo was pretty dope. Won't lie.

I'm hoping this closes the show out. Rebecca Sugar's brother was on Twitter saying it wasn't over yet and this series was like Naruto Shippuden. If they go any further it'll definitely feel like they're milking the series.

Damn that last episode was pretty powerful for a CN show. Pink Diamond remains the biggest villain of the show lol.

They really make this a pain in the ass if you're a cord cutter. Couldn't find it legally anywhere to stream so I purchased the season on Amazon, which is your only option. Then I go to watch it and I basically paid $20 for a preview since it's not up yet.

Edit: They went live at 2AM. Gotta wait til Sunday morning but at least I'll have the entire season.
