at this point that one episode was enough to turn me off. Even when they had serious episodes there were some moments of goofyness to balance it. Also they spent way too much time pushing his new girlfriend. she had way too much screen time and for the most part cannot act for shit.

Yea watched ep 2, every thing that gave this show the charisma it had in season 1 and 2 is now gone. Sad.

The writing is pretty fucking bad also.

It's just really not good, everything about the show has taken a dive including the editing and the effects. The fight scene in the cargo deck in episode 2 was straight up bad, and there's so many scene transitions clearly made to just not spend the money on the VFX (like going into the gas giants atmosphere in episode 1, we see the ship move toward the planet then it instantly cuts to them already being inside)

Im pretty done with the show. My wife who isnt really into trek style shows used to love this. After the first ep of s3 she was like wtf is this shit.

I really cant believe this is what Seth envisioned for the show. I read that it was Fox that wanted humor. very very sad if its true

I havent watched the new season yet thats so disappointing, especially with how nu trek is, i was hoping this could be like TNG. Especially after waiting so long for this season

As do I...and the humor is still there, kind of? In ep 2 the "You might the sniffles" line with Bortus going "I am prepared" made me chuckle...

Episode 1 was just fall out from last season. And Episode 2 was setting up this season. No reason to think the entire season will be this serious.
