As someone who has never played the Witcher games, I found it to be profoundly mediocre. The storytelling was confusing, the season resolved basically nothing, and their magic system was inconsistent.

I doubt I will watch the next season and would take my hours back if I could tbqh

Now that was worth the wait.

I thought the show could probably be a bit more real/darker and follow the books more closely, and I imagine in season 2 they'll probably do that and not romanticise shit.
