I like that it's a retelling of the first game and what appears to be the intro of the second.

Let's hope it's campy enough to be good cause that CGI is pretty damn bad lol. Feels like after the first set of movies, they would have tried to do the series differently though like say, creepier and more suspenseful than just bullets flying everywhere. I guess if you know the source content though, a lot of suspense and mystery will just fall flat.

Just got back from it. I thought it was pretty good but I went in expecting it to be shit so my expectations were tempered. Dialogue was pretty shit and exposition was ehh at times but if you like Resident Evil, it's MUCH BETTER than the Milla Jovovich ones and I look forward to the next ones. My rating: I was okay spending money on it

I liked the first two RE movies myself...I could stomach watching the 3rd one. But after that, nope the fuck out.

First one was the best one. Wasn't even a terrible movie imo, the rest just took the IP and drove off a cliff.

Much like the original games until Capcom brought it back to creepier roots with RE7.
