Hit looks bad ass.
Hit looks bad ass.
tl;dw?
Apparently shenron also costs 7 bars + a combo landing (in addition to the balls) before you can activate it in the final build, so I can't imagine we'll be seeing too many wishes.
As for matches lasting too long, it seems that way for every game when you're watching people that don't know what they're doing. Can't really judge that until players are doing real mixups and setups, knowing what/how to punish, etc. Remember the pace of mvc3 matches at launch compared to what came later?
More like, tldw: it’s a Max video. Whether he believes what he says or not, it’s just tossed out prematurely to make $.
Never tuned into his shit again, after he was talking up how awesome SFV beta was, when it was obviously worse than dog feces.
I believe him on this one. The moveset is pretty dry and we've probably seen some of the highest combo potential from the top-level play back during the initial beta with guys like Tatsunautical extending combo strings with Vegeta assists and sneaking resets in with 16 and 18.
Regardless of the depth of the game, its going to be very popular and a feast for the eyes. Even if the fighting itself was Garbo, the game is art in motion, and it needs to exist. If nothing else, a game like this shows off the potential for future games and sends a message to other companies not to slack off in their approach.
Its a very important game for the genre, one way or another.
I hate Max's stuff too but his breakdowns of the new characters do show some variations of the basic formula. Hit and Beerus look extremely interesting and more in-line with the crazy characters from GG or BB. I have no doubt Arcsys can do it, whether they will for all new characters is a mystery.
You don't need Max's stuff to arrive at the same conclusion:
Tatsu and Nakkei are two of the nastiest players of the game through beta, and they squeezed just about everything out of the game at that point. Its going to look extremely pretty, but I don't see a ton of depth aside from using teammates to open up the defense through block strings and for extending combos (not so much damage, due to scaling).
Check out the rest of those two's matches on Yogaflame24's channel. They wringed about every drop from the beta, and there haven't been any more specific moves added to any character since then, just new characters.
Holy shit the BGM
I get the idea, to make it fun for non-FGC people they make it similar across the board with simple inputs. You pick your favourite character and after learning them you've learned like 60% of the roster.
It sucks that the most interesting characters are behind paywalls, but it would be good to see more variation with characters and assists.
Huh? They havn't announced any DLC characters yet.
And you act like he hasn't hated the game since..even before Season 1 ended. I think his hype up for the SFV beta was just him having hopes that it was just a beta. Not to to say he doesn't put shit out there for money, but his breakdowns and such are usually pretty on point.
There's a FighterZ pass that's supposed to unlock 8 additional characters
that's also not included in that $140 CE they announced months ago lol
SSJB Goku/Vegeta are part of the base roster?
