Is there some special thing you have to do to break ebony odos head? Ive smacked that thing with partbreaker 3 and still never got a break.

you have to use an elemental weapon when it's enraged and it'll break
Hit MR 69 and completed the quest pretty easy. Not really running into anything, aside from Luna nova, that's causing me to cart anymore. Got T12 Zingore HBG, and running 2 piece Val + Guard 5, Free element 3, Divine Blessing 3, Health Boost 3, Shield Gem, None Elemental Boost, 1-2 Spread, 2-3 Maximum Might and whatever resist I need for any monster. Unless I mess up big time, it's hard to die going against Tempered T1 and less. Only seen Diablo T2 Tempered, but he's a woos after breaking his horns shortly into the fight. Haven't been able to final uncap my gear either since I haven't seen the gems to do so.
I do enjoy GL right now, as I still run into new things, and with the melder letting you make most anything if you've seen it once, I'm not sure if I'm missing something about trying to force spawn things. You need to farm Tempered 2-3 threat for stuff anyways and you can check GL if you don't want to miss something. I think if they just get rid of de-level, it would be just fine.
i made my first master rank armour today. got the velkhana body and legs for the critical element and pairing it with HR teostra gamma set. when i get to master rank teostra i'll upgrade to that. weapon wise i'm rocking like two dozen rank 10 dual blades and a couple of rank 11s
Just fought Velkhana, in Guided Lands Wildspire Waste....da funk? I didn't think Hoarfrost Reach stuff could show up in GL.
I think the only normal monsters that are area locked are Jyuratodus, Beotodus, and Lavasioth.
Also, apparently for some reason Dodogama doesn't show up in Guiding Lands. At least it isn't in the list I can find.
Is there any way to turn off R3 locking onto monsters. They also made that button mandatory for HBG/LBG/Bow clutch claw usage and I am so sick of lock on screwing me over further. It's bad enough it's also our special ammo button, but the lock on thing is just more aggravation despite that I'm better at it. /jackiechanheadachejpeg
Might be in the options menu.
Rajang update is Oct 10th.
Also Volcanic Region being added to Guiding Lands.
beat the final boss with almost all HR gear, walked around the guiding lands for a bit, joined an sos for teostra, did a few investigations for teostra parts and now i'm running around with 2 piece velk, 3 piece teo, and untouched hel dual blades (along with a whole wack of other ones, but those are the highest ranked ones i got).... feeling mildly badass atm
next stop is doing those MR uncapping quests then probably checking out what this guiding lands is actually about
The fact the Handler will have a Mr. X skin is enough in it's own right. Can definitely say, of cross overs did not expect RE2 and MHW.
With the Street Fighter crossover stuff never coming to PC, I'm kind of worried as a PC player.![]()
I'm not, that looked pretty horrible.
I'm hoping when this hits PC I can mod X Gun Give It To Ya during the cutscene when the handler prepares a meal for you.
Best Handler is Mr. X handler. I've never been intersted in RE, but this looks really fun. Too bad handler outfits have usually been paid DLC if you want to keep it, but you also usually get to temporarily see her in it during whatever event is running.
Also, the stuff about HBG build being OP is kinda bunk. If you're fighting something that has zero status effects, then ya, go for it, but for almost anything else, you're going to do better with 2 piece vaal + nullifying the element or status of whatever you're fighting; san water, cause, who cares? Good for speed runs and groups, for certain, but for most stuff, especially before you can uncap all of your armor, you're not really going to want to run it.
so like, it's adorable capcom tried to up the strength of elemental weapons and all but the way they designed the guiding lands it makes no sense to use elemental weapons. not when you've got a monster that's weak to fire then the other monster you want to kill next is completely resistant to the fire. why would i pop back and forth to camp every single monster when i can just use a raw weapon and continually kill everything that comes my way until i run out of potions? so i made the dawning tranquility hammer and i'm just smash things in the face atm. life is much simpler but i'm sad i can't effectively use dual blades at end game without having to spend triple the time
also i've only done it for a small bit so far but i think running around doing nothing but collecting tracks and mining ore/bone is the fastest way to increase region levels. create a scavenging set specifically for this purpose. botany, geology, hungerless, etc
