Sure, but she's much easier with fast light weapons then heavy slow ones. As a GL I can do whatever I want and Kulve can't ever hurt me, but as a LBG I can do whatever I want and kill Kulve like 10x faster. Getting locked down in fire is just boring.

Only someone that always uses DB would think that they're as easy to use against Kulve as LBG lol. The fact is, you can ignore the stage mechanics and bombs and all that and still kill it quite fast with ranged, and never waste time hitting parts that are HP locked. You could honestly just socket both elements into your build and never even have to go change for the final area.

not for us iceborne peeps. it seems like most people are pc players so they're still grinding away on kulve.

Probably not most. I don't even currently have MHW installed on my PC lol.

Edit: Well, most not really grinding Kulve anymore. Not sure of the breakdown of who plays PC vs console.

Ah, I see! It's a great lance, actually one of the few only good KT ones I got, but don't go crazy for it, MR gear outclasses HR gear quickly, specially weapons.

Oh, and unrelated to KT but related to lances: fuck all the anti-lance moves monsters have in MR. I'm specially looking at you, Savage Jho, and the dragon power cloud you leave everywhere.

I'm assuming DW and S&S still want elements, right? Even if not augmenting for elemental attack, but at least have the base elemental value on top of the augmented raw, no?

I'm nowhere near endgame yet, but I'm pretty curious about it.

elemental dbs, sns, & bow is definitely the meta. four element x5 upgrades and one affinity or sharpness x6 upgrade (depending on weapon)

dbs/sns/bow need to farm a lot of savi lol

From what I have heard from math guys, SnS can do very well from just raw because the big combo for SnS in Iceborne doesn't utilize elemental very well and is very raw weighted. This is secondhand so please forgive me if I am mistaken.

EDIT: After rewatching their video on Safi weapons seems SnS is VERY close Raw vs Element either way so whatever you enjoy.

probably true. i dont pay much attention to sns. in the end honestly just do whatever the hell you want 'cause this game aint hard enough for it to matter. and the real beauty of the savi weapons is you can build them how you like to play. i havent built my savi dbs exactly like the meta 'cause i hate not having at least white sharpness. drives me friggin bonkers

Yeah, that's a very positive trait of MH: player skill and knowledge of the fight weighs much more than optimizing to the max. As long as you don't bring useless skills, you're OK. I personally tend to build close to the meta but make tweaks to suit my own style. For example, in 4U I used to augment my lances with the health regen instead of the raw augment. If you play perfect, raw is undoubtedly better, but for a decent-good player who gets hit quite often, I preferred not having to sheathe to drink so often, and the health regen was perfect for that.

Anyway question I've been wondering about. Is there a damage threshold you need to hit in a specific amount of time to cause a monster to fall over/stunned? Noticed that I'm making Tempered Teo fall a lot ever since I upgraded.
