I have to confess... I still craft everything via menu instead of shortcut during fights because it was the only way to do it for years and I got used to it.

I still use my LS the oldschool way, so I keep forgetting to use the new movies. I think back then the players were forced to be more methodical. My friend's play style, who's never played any MH before, reminds me of DMC.

I only recently started using the R2+O move (And even then, it was Zinogre and Rajang that forced it), I haven't really touched the new sheathe move

The new LS moves are dope. Your bread and butter should be Triangle/Y after sheathing it for the two-hit combo since it generates spirit meter like Spirit Helm Breaker.

3 more Safi hardhorns and I'm done with all the Iceborne events besides the dual Rajang.

make sure you get the buff body from the dual rajang quest. you can argue kaiser crown y, buff chest a, kaiser vampbraces b+, kaiser coil b+, garuga greaves b+, attack charm 4 with an upgraded safi weapon is just as strong as any other meta set... plus you kinda look like pyramid head from silent hill

Don't trust anyone under MR200 unless you know them.

The Safi set too. The ability is interesting, but a bit risky to use for LS, especially as I don't have a health augment since I haven't done guiding lands tempered elders yet.

yeah i wouldn't use the safi set for any weapon unless you have health augment.

be aware there's an option to have the 3 piece safi set bonus and 3 piece whatever the hell else you want if you put that skill on your safi weapon. kinda cool, niche, but cool

For Behemoth are there any good build guides anywhere for lance? I know I'm going to be tanking so other than Health Boost, Guard Up, and Mind's Eye wondering if there's anything else I should have for abilities.

Guard +3-5 and Divine Protection, fire and thunder resist would help. Dunno for sure though, been ages since I fought it lol. Quick sheathing would definitely not hurt.

1/2 for wins. Starting to see why people hate randoms for Behemoth. It's surprising how many people don't even bother trying to flash tornadoes.

Yep. It's infuriating. Behemoth and Ancient Leshen are probably only quests where people NEED to pay attention. Can't just mindlessly kill so having randoms who are just swinging can be very detrimental.

The worst part? Had a trolling f****t that decided to stand around do jack shit and wiped us at the last meteor.

Ancient Leshen is also a hell of a lot more fun than Behemoth.

Behemoth (& EX) and Ancient Leshen are still the only MHW missions/loot I still need. Soloing attempts were not quite enough in Iceborne gear.
(Also Phantom Flutterfly, Flowering Cactuar, and Nekker. Oh, and some crowns.)

EDIT: Also some stuff from the Spring festival, since I didn't have a PS4 until after it ended.

Full Drachen finally. Bow user carried us.

Got to admit lance really does suck for Behemoth with a bad group. Even with Quick Sheath 2 it takes forever to put my weapon away to heal. You pretty much need a buffer/healer or you're fucked since Guard Up won't protect you from the gore attack he does.

Yeah, in a good group you should rarely have to heal yourself as lance. Some of my clears were as wide range SnS because I knew if I was doing it at least someone was.

Ancient Leshen is also a hell of a lot more fun than Behemoth.

AL is a fantastic fight as far as I'm concerned. Behemoth was dumb and lazy imo

Behemoth isn't too bad to tank. The only thing that really throws me off is his swipe attack is really hard to react to since it's so fast compared to everything else.

But yeah I don't think I'll touch Lance again on Behemoth. Just not a fun weapon if you don't have someone that can support with group heals or someone that can flash the mob to buy you time to remove debuffs.

Behemoth sucks with most slow weapons honestly. It's just not a great fight in general. Ancient Leshen is one the funnest fights in base mhw imo. It just takes coordination.

I still don't have Extremoth. I'll try with friends in full MR, but never wanted to mess with that hard to be hard nonsense.
