flinch shots ranges from 600-1800 damage. you aint beating that damage unless you're dropping a boulder on somethings head while its asleep

If you're in multiplayer you should just do both. Put the barrels on the wall, then have someone with a strong wake up attack do that on the head while the DB player sits off to the side and clutches the head a split second after the wake up hits.

Bam, you have your wake up damage, barrel damage and wall damage, and the monster is writhing around on the floor.

yeah i guess that's true. i tend to solo more often than not so im generally waking a mob up without rocksteady active so the flinch shot takes precedence

Hate to say this right after you farmed Shara, but might want to look at the chicken lance as an option until you can augment r12s at MR100. It's honestly kind of OP for a r10 weapon, and health augment is life or death for lance in GL.

Can't you always get mats back for augments tho?

See no reason why you wouldn't unless you just straight up didn't have the mats.

you cant roll back extra slot augments (not be confused with the slot upgrade augment, which gets you more jewels in your weapons)

Has anyone encountered the ERR12 error and got around it? I can't even get past the first Iceborne mission because the game keeps crashing. I've tried updating the my GPU drivers, doing a clean install, messing with the graphic options, switching to DX12 (makes it even worse)... I'm starting to get tired of doing the first mission eating all the unskipable cutscenes only to crash less than 10 minutes into the fight. I've played the game a few weeks ago before the patch without any issues.

There's a bunch of shit online about how to fix this, but nothing works, the game is just broken.

I have a 2080, 16 of RAM and a 8700k, I played the game last year with a way shittier computer and had no problems.

So for monsters that prefer to jump all over the damn place (Odo, Barioth, Tigrex, etc.) are there any tricks outside of traps/paralyze to make them more manageable so I can pull off my spirit combo? Felt like in the 50 Shades of White event I spent more time trying to pin down Barioth than do anything.

Specifically for Barioth, you have to destroy one of its front legs to hinder its movement. Once you break one, it'll trip after every charge, so things will be much more manageable. I suggest spending the start of the fight on softening one front leg and slamming it to a wall, and then go ham on that leg. That is usually enough, or almost enough, to break it right there, and after that things are easier.

Don't think it's hardware related. I'm running a 9700k+2080 without this error. Something on your pc might be fucking with the game's new anticheat

So, with having to do low rank SOS assists for VIP tickets in this and the last event, it would be nice to NOT be spat back out into the bottom of Astera instead of the Seliana Hub after each quest.
