My "conclusion" if you want to call it that, is that more gun regulation would reduce gun violence, murder rates, and suicides.
Not eliminate. Not bring us in line with other 1st world countries. Just reduce. But it wouldn't take massive confiscation to accomplish a reduction, nor would it take repealing the 2nd amendment. There's plenty of sand we can throw into the gears of the system that most states with lower gun deaths do and that none of the states with the highest gun deaths do that would pull the latter towards the former.

And yet Jersey is 23rd in murder's per 100,000 people...its almost as if there are other methods of killing people other than guns, who'da thought?
just caught up and i think the real crime here is how many of you are incapable of analyzing statistics in a productive manner good heavens
Between the hotel room and the shooter's home, 34 guns have been found as well as some explosives.
if all you want is any kind of 'reduce' then ok. Across 350 million people I have no doubt at least one death would be prevented with additional regulation
could you be specific? It's kind of lazy to just blanket it on us like that. And I'm assuming I'm in your targets and there's just no way for this to be productive for me (or anyone else you could be meaning) if you don't point out what you're referring to
The best way to reduce gun crime is to legalize it.
Just hand out guns at the entrance of every outdoor venue. I bet the shooter would have thought twice if thousands of people started wildly shooting back at him. He wouldn't have been able to kill himself if he was already dead.
Was it ever determined what weapon(s) he was using? I watched some videos and the rate of fire/gunfire sounded a lot "heavier" and faster than an AR-15 or M4. That and with how long he was sustaining fire, a carbine would have overheated as he wasn't exactly firing in bursts. Co-workers think it sounded like an M249, makes you wonder how some random dude got his hands on a SAW if that's really the case.
Not yet, I think if it were revealed by the cops everyone would be talking about it
There's a periscope of a press conference vegas's sheriff had. Maybe he says some of the guns used there and people aren't being loud about it on social media, it's 35min long. https://www.pscp.tv/w/1mnGempEqevGX
Maybe someone cares to know, but he did confront security of the hotel by shooting at them through his door
