Holy fuck what am I reading?
Holy fuck what am I reading?
Youre a tool.
They CONTINUE to hate the people who freed them from a terrorist dictator over a decade ago, and you think thats proving me wrong.
I guess they enjoyed all the war within their country under Saddam, and knowing if they voted against him in their rigged elections, they would get killed. They didnt want freedom from that, nope.
Im just confused why we're trying to fight terrorism with violence when another option exists - humiliation. I remember reading as a kid how a lot of why the KKK lost so much power was due to things like superhero comics making an absolute mockery of them, turning those fearful sights of white sheets into silly men dressing up as ghosts.
shame and fear of being an outcast of society is a powerful motivator. terrorist groups exist because these outcasts of society find kindred spirits and a sense of belonging and purpose with each other, however twisted it is. make their terrorist societies look absolutely retarded to the people they're terrorizing while simultaneously glorifying the virtues of a normal society. as it is, every non-terrorist casualty is a massive negative PR for team america and a big boost to the terrorist groups. we have internet, we have modern communications, we have bloody corporations with people who's entire job is to paint a fantastically unrealistic version of their products, we have all the tools we need to do this.
we're employing the entirely wrong tool to fight terrorism. it's not a group, it's a concept. it's a distortion in worldview. you do not fight emotions and warped minds with bombs, you fight it with emotions and the proper application of knowledge. if that requires exaggerating the virtues of modern society a bit, that's a minor thing - they might be annoyed that the grass isnt as green as promised, but they would at least see that it actually is green instead of the barren wasteland they had before. and as anyone knows, once you've gotten comfortable with a higher standard of living than before, you generally do what you can to avoid going backwards.
You have a really rosey way of looking at recent history.
The US lied and invaded a country to destroy a political regime, bungled the operation, and left it in sectarian chaos as well as ISIS. Arguably a worse position than doing nothing. Given hundreds of thousands of Iraqis would not have been killed from war related causes and still left in a mess.
These people are supposed to be happy with us? Gee thanks for nothing seems more appropriate.
They be more grateful if the US stayed the fuck out of their country from now on.
Old black dude I used to work with used to tell me a bunch of stories about Louisiana back in the late 70's early 80s. One of the stories was how the KKK became to be viewed as a gay cult as a result of a few of it's local leaders dying to aids. It really pissed them off and they were never feared the same way ever again lol.
racists owned by their own homophobia, checkmate kkk
Let's be honest here the KKK were all taking copious amounts of BBC, because as usual what people are loudest about hating the most is always what they love the most behind closed doors
Humiliate the terrorists you say?
How did that work out for Charlie Hebdo?
It was the Superman radio show (the comics helped too) and it was less due to the mockery (although that helped) and more to do with the fact that they had to deal with their own children considering the KKK the bad guys to be defeated whenever they were playing. A large portion of them could not look their own children in the eye because of that.
Like how are terrorists even real bro, just laugh at them.
I'd love to see the PR team that can turn kids away from jihadi's by "extolling virtues" when AG can barely convince ya'll nits here on the dopeness of various degrees of capitalism. Especially when these kids have no avenues available to them outside of poverty or jihadilyf for the most part in bad areas.
If only they started their own IPO.
Spicy, are you a flat earther?
It's weird that you know so much about things but you've never even been in a fire fight with Kurds. Or been to Iraq, or Afghan. I would suggest u avoid the previously mentioned internet trap, and stick to writing fantastic guides to blue mage.
Because being sent in to fight enemy combatants makes you an expert on the populace as a whole.
Yet you haven't explained shit.
But you're an expert because you read airstrikes.org or whatever the fuck it was, right?
Big reason why I stay out of mideast population discussions because I'm a slick sleeved E6 (tfw there are SPC's that are patched and you aren't, yeah you can say I'm pretty self conscience about it). Being somewhere and experiencing it vs reading about it is a big difference. The only somewhat relative example I can draw up from experience is the whole Korea nuclear war craze. If you turned on CNN or Fox you'd think the world is ready to end but to everyone that's in the peninsula it's just another day.
Active shooter at a high school in Parkland, FL. At least 5 injured last report I saw.
Supposedly up to 20 injured. SWAT at the scene.
