imo almost anything would be better than opening social media apps, just different world than I grew up in I guess, i knew a few ppl with pagers. My hs was 3k people too and more like a college campus, Im not angry at the kids or anything I would have just been trying to find a weapon or something personally, or i might have froze like a bitch not really sure

My HS was similar structured though even more spread out and we had vague instructions to run away and shit though don't think anyone really recommended fighting. Though we also had mostly open campus where the creek on one side did more to block entry/exit than any built structure. Of course we also had instructions in the event of a bomb threat to all gather together on a blacktop next to some portable buildings so yeah things weren't necessarily thought out the best

Bro I'm LIVID that this dudes IG was so fucking obvious with how crazy he was and no one did anything. Fuck, if anything all they did was expel his ass and give him more of a reason to go off. This school let him down, this community let him down, and all of the above let each other down for seeing the obvious signs and going "eh".

My gf is a hot mess right now cause she went to that high school. She knows the people there, we have friends who are teachers there now, some of our friends have students there. Ours are all checked in and safe, but they know kids who died there, staff who died there, and now she's bugging cause she teaches just up the road and doesn't know what to tell her kids or how to react. She used to be in color gaurd and now her fb is blowing up cause one of the students who died was in color gaurd too. This shit hits close to home when it's close to home, and the shitty comments are to be expected but it's hard to view this the same when you're watching tv and see them holding news conferences right in front of the literal house community you used to live in.

Also, go easy on Day. He's going to freak out like my peeps are should his community have this happen. Well, maybe I should say when this happens to his community considering no one wants to do anything about this.

Used to work with people that would help design new manufacturing facilities for guns/ammunition to make them more efficient. Flat out told my employer I refused to help that... still got constantly called in for questions on "how do we make this work" in the software we used. Those people literally do not give a single fuck about how many people are killed by their product.

Eventually got kind of blackballed for it inside my own company, but not entirely since I was in a different department (I design substations as opposed to manufacturing facilities, same software though). Boss tried to say I was incompetent at my job, I said fuck that and jumped to a different company and threw my former boss under the bus (like the ~4 coworkers that went before me).
