Get your Ticonderoga #2 pistol. Sorry #1 and #3s won't count when you shoot a scantron.
I wonder if republicans figured out they're gonna arm black teachers as well.
And Muslim teachers
he said "qualified" cmon, code words baby
you guys know they aren't talking about requiring teachers to carry right
i have some qualms about letting even trained/ccw teachers be armed but a lot of people seem to be arguing from the position that it will be mandatory for ms. jones with the weird hand to carry
should also be noted that it's already allowed in 18 states : https://townhall.com/tipsheet/katiep...armed-n2454454
How many are Hard R states

couple three
-Alabama (which bans possessing a weapon on school grounds only if the carrier has "intent to do bodily harm")
-California (with approval of the superintendent)
-Connecticut (with approval of "school officials")
-Hawaii (no specific law)
-Idaho (with school trustees' approval)
-Iowa (with "authorization")
-Kentucky (with school board approval)
-Massachusetts (with approval of the school board or principal)
-Mississippi (with school board approval)
-Montana (with school trustees' permission)
-New Hampshire (ban applies only to pupils, not adults)
-New Jersey (with approval from the school's "governing officer")
-New York (with the school's approval)
-Oregon (with school board approval)
-Rhode Island (with a state concealed weapons permit)
-Texas (with the school's permission)
-Utah (with approval of the "responsible school administrator")
-Wyoming (as long as it's not concealed)
I think the problem is moreso that they are using this brilliant tactic to avoid, you know, actually fixing the root cause.
that requires folks to agree on the "root cause" obviously the ability to purchase a weapon doesn't turn you instantly into a mass murderer.
Access to firearms makes violent crime much much much more deadly.
That's the simplest one-sentence explanation of "the problem".

again i'm not overly keen on the idea in general, but I can understand the desire. if I was trapped in a room hiding in a corner in that situation I would greatly prefer someone in the room I was with have a weapon than be defenseless.
I mean in 2014, 5 dudes with knives killed 30 some people and injured 100 in a china train station. VA tech was a coupe handguns. If we really want to find the "the problem" I'm not really sure it lies with the weapon choice.
I don't think there's any one simple solution but various options to help deter and defend have been discussed over and over and over.
I'm all for better background checks, better enforcement when multiple calls are called on a gun owner, would be fine with banning bump stocks, large capacity magazines but I honestly don't know how much any of that will help.
Oh a fire arm in VA and a knife attack in another country what good examples. You know what lets do nothing and maybe my daughter's school will be the next lucky choice for a visit from some alt right nut job with a gun hobby.
twice as many people died, seems like fine examples to me
